You obviously have several sources - I wonder if you might be able to grade them on the basis of past accuracy? You know, something like "a source who has been 80% accurate about 15 things" or similar.

At the moment the only thing I can say is that when you say "rumour poster" I assume that means somebody who doesn't work for Virgin, but that doesn't give any other indication of whether they're worth listening to.

Agreed Den and the facts stack up... (Source: Broadcast Magazine)

Viewers watched an average of 98.5% of TV via a television set in 2013, down 0.3% from the previous year, according to research from commercial TV body Thinkbox.

Total daily viewing of linear TV in the UK was pegged at an average of 3 hours 55 minutes per person in 2013, according to the Barb-backed study, around nine minutes less than in 2012. The slight dip has been caused by the lack of significant sporting events over the previous 12 months.

Viewers watched an average of 3 minutes 30 seconds of the broadcasters’ VoD services per day via tablets, mobiles and laptops – equivalent to three 30-minute shows each month. Accounting for 1.5% of overall viewing, this was slightly up from the 3 minutes per day (1%) average recorded in 2012.

Just under 89% of linear TV was watched live, rather than time-shifted, compared to 90% the previous year. In the estimated 60% of homes which have TV recorders this figure was pegged at 83.6%, down from 84.4% in 2012.

Thinkbox claimed that the average viewers watched 47 ads per day at normal speed, up 1.6% from 2012.

Chief executive Lindsey Clay said that the research showed that viewing via the primary TV set was holding up well.

Lol, what delicious irony. Sky Sports News being moved to Sky channel 401. Who would have thought? Looks like Sky and their wonderful channel listings have become just as stupid as VMs. Guess we do indeed now know why VM have done it, looks like Sky wanted them to.

Cheers for the news MB, this will keep me chuckling for a long, long time.

Indeed, but it was a small price to pay in order to get the missing sport HD variants.

TRUtv isn't as bad as people think it is, it has shows such as Operation repo and shows true story movies too, also they are working to brink uk programmes to the uk and some new dramas, give it a chance before slating it.
Then again i can't really talk lol as i dropped vm and Sky tv awhile ago and am more than happy with on demand via netflix and various other sources lol.

It will be available for free on both satellite and Freeview, so you may still be able to watch it :)

Unless you count me having a tantrum trying to disconnect a V+ box for a neighbour, then no nothing exciting has happened.

I didn't mean any criticism, more I thought it would add to the information MB provides.

Incidentally, it appears Spiderplant has already suggested this and I'm not the first to think it might be a good idea.

That's fair enough. What do you think about grading your sources in some way? I wonder if it might appease some of the usual critics - not that I think you should be going out of your way to do that, you understand!

As a FTA channel it may appear on here if this is of any use (this service is also useful for those who now watch all TV on-line).

Oh for heavens sake. That bloke still has far too much influence over Sky in this country. If Sky launch a "Sky europe" channel and have exclusive European TV content, I will be devastated. There will be a rather pointless (and we all know it will be pointless to complain against Mur"dosh" and his cronies), yet extremely strongly worded e-mail to the relevant authorities if this were to ever happen.

Forgot about BT and UPC having them, thanks mm.
