Both my desktop PC and my laptop have ssd drives now so boot up time is minimal ;)

Desktop upgrade went fine but samsung series 7 i got the dreaded 'Black Screen of Death'.
had to roll back to 8.0, need to wait for samsung to update its drivers and software.

I am not brave enough to try it yet as i don't want to mess things up here, and also not sure if it works with an upgrade version of Windows 8.

I have misplaced my disc for my USB Samsung Blu-Ray player, and I cannot play BRs on the installed Cyberlink DVD player.

Until then can anybody recommend a free player that supports BR?

The 8.1 upgrade has been pulled apparently, due to it bricking some of MS's Surface tablet thingys

it has certainly been shown to be a proper screw up all round. Remember the XP sp1 rollout? broke more pcs than it upgraded on lol
