Re: TV price rises

Why have both systems if one of them offers every channel available?

Another rant , why not cancel then if your not happy. You are also wrong about VM being cheaper my package with Sky is cheaper than the equivalent one from VM , for some VM will be cheaper for others it will be Sky , both companies offer different products it's upto the end user too choose which best suits them.

l will second that.:tu:

Hi muppetman, I will say this only once, VM are good on the phone service, my main gripe with VM, is that yes VM do show the nature of there products BFORE you choose, BUT they also give out promises that they don't keep.

Ie 80 HD channels are on the horizon, In talks with Premier Sports, Atlantic etc, how long do these talks take there are unhappy customers out there that ARE still with VM and rant apart from myself.

I believe in you get what you pay for BUT you cannot justify putting the price up like we are having, without an increase in products.

I have said before that l don't mind paying more IF the channels increased.

One more time I like VM phone / BB, But the TV needs looking at

Longer than you assume, obviously :)

I agree with Carl , the phone is probably VM's most costly product when compared to competitors thats no dig at its quality , they use TIVO , On Demand and BB as their major strengths.

Do you really think we're not seeing any return on our increased subs? I accept it's not been handled well from a pr point of view, but your broadband speed is about to double, we've seen several new channels launch and thanks to Anytime we've seen hundreds of hours more on demand content. Value for money is subjective, but you can't say we're getting nothing for the extra cash.

Premier Sports keeps popping up on these forums like its the must have and tbh its just getting silly. I swear the 5 or so people that actually want it on VM all reside here so it keeps getting a disproportionate number of mentions in threads.

And by the same token I don't think the desire for Atlantic is quite what some people think it is.

It obviously isn't otherwise VM would have begun to lose alot of customers.

Correct.

I don't agree with VM price rises and it will stop me being a VM customer again under the current pricing but what VM do get right is there tv and content in tv packages. They offer more choice across their range for customers.

The iOS TiVo companion app launching in 2011 alongside the 15.2 update, 100's of TiVo apps in the first year..... That's two promises that VM didn't keep.

Okay, but then perhaps there have been problems along the way. These things happen. Perhaps VM shouldn't actually ever announce anything just in case they can't stick precisely to the date given. At least then it'll give the whingers one less thing to go on about :D

I know that's in jest, but they really aren't good at managing expectations, so you're right, they shouldn't.
