The person I spoke to seemed to think that as Ive ordered Tivo I now wont get my Sky Premium HD till my Tivo installed, surely this is wrong

As i see you are on the VIP50 pack and you will receive them already? So the only thing that I can think of is that is that you have requested them to be changed to the TIVO?

If the above is so you will continue to get them on your normal box and then when the install goes they will be switched to the TIVO box?

Just call again and when or if they say this ask them to check with their manager as one of the staff should be able to confirm that you should be able to keep you discount as well?[/QUOTE]

Many thanks, did what you said and they said it would make no difference to my present discount. Have booked for Wednesday afternoon d- did not even ask for my offer code;)

I was told the tivo charge was per account, not per box, so multiroom is still £6.50, wheather the second box is a V, VHD, V+ or Tivo.

Yes, so £3 for your main TiVo box and then £6.50 for your second box, is what I'm assuming.

Mine still stopped on the box till the TIVO box was installed, so I would call back and just make sure ( or call CS ).

So i presume the wording can be read as " upto but not including 20MB " from what i was told by the person who handled my upgrade as she did ask me to hold while she checked it all and my question about the contract not being renewed and remaining on a 30day rolling contract and not a new 12 month one .

Maybe one of the nice Virgin Media staff who post on these forums can clarify that if we are upgrading from VIP20 to VIP50 whether we do or don't have to pay the £30 additional charge along with the £149.95 TIVO activation charge. Much appreciated, thank you.

Slightly off the poiint query , does anyone know how many Tivo boxes and customers moving to 50mb connection are going to happen over the next few weeks as sounds like there are going to be a lot , so will the Backbone be able to handle the load or will there be outages and balancing plaguing us for the coming months ...I hope not but new things can bite you in the bum lol.

Hi, Hope someone understands my questions as it's sounds a bit confusing when I read it back, so hope someone can help! I'm currently on VIP20 with an extra V Box in another room (so I have a V+ box downstairs, and 2 V Boxes in other rooms if that makes sense?!) and am currently paying £105.04pm (and I can't work out how it's that much per month as when looking on the website, I make it to be £102.05pm with an extra box?). I received my TIVO email offer today and rang up and am having it installed this Friday, and I have upgraded to VIP50 and asked for my V+ box to replace one of the existing V boxes and asked for the additional V box to be removed so I will just have the TIVO and the V+ box, but my question is I was told that would be £100.55pm. Is that correct or will I have to pay extra per month for the V+ box being my additional box? Also, will I just pay the £149.95 installation fee or will there be extra charges for increasing to 50mb broadband etc. I should have asked when I called, but I was too excited about getting the TIVO to ask at the time! Thanks.

£100.55 is the right price for the VIP 50 even with the V+ as your spare - that's what others are paying. As for the broadband, when I upgraded to VIP50 a few months back there was no installation for upgrading the broadband (I decided to go to VIP50 rather than 30 as it saved the £30 installation fee). I don't know if that's changed though.
