Many medical people are now going against the "no spicy foods" advice for iffy tummies. But the gutsache after a superhot pod like a Reaper or Chocolate Bhutla is still intense. Why do the yanks call it "cramps" :confused:

Anyway, time to make some blazing Harissa sauce for tonight's Algerian Couscous.

*Years ago I went to the Heinz factory at Kit Green and can report that they're not baked but boiled. Has to be the most noisy place in Christendom. Even with ear defenders you couldn't hear yourself think.

Not the weather for a BBQ, so I'm grilling homemade Jamaican Jerk Chicken and serving with rice and peas.

The first best use for my homegrown, and 100% authentic, Scotch Bonnet chillies.

A second batch has no chillies at all...... for the wimpy ladies of the house.

The lad tied one of Morrisons' Volcanic Vindaloos the other day. He didn't flinch once. He is getting good tolerance for capsaicin. :D

They are nash I get them from Marks and Spencer and my eldest had went out and bought them for us coming home.

They also do salted caramel meringues, but I'm not too keen on them but the two boys & hubby prefer them to the toffee ones. Whereas myself and my future daughter in law much prefer the toffee ones :)
