I'd go with a smaller reputable isp if I could get higher speeds. All the major providers have sold their soul.

Seems to happen mostly in corner shops, newsagents etc but staff who stare at you whilst you’re looking on a shelf/display for something.

I don’t accept that it’s their way of being ‘available’ to be asked where something is etc otherwise they’d simply ask if they can help, or is there something I need helping to find etc.

Also online shops/businesses that automatically take you to a “please answer our questionnaire about your experience purchasing from us” as soon as you’ve bought what you need, or they send the same kind of thing by email.

If I’m happy/unhappy with the service I’ll tell them. Badgering me for a review guarantees a 1 star (or no stars if available) to all questions when they do that.

with you on that. Another one is Amazon asking you to review a product the day after it was delivered expecting you to have had it fully tested by then. Often it is still in the box

I sat in first class earlier today because the train was packed. In first class was a lovely family whom thought it would be ideal if their screaming kids were everyone else's problem. Piss take.

Later on my return journey were a young group of people clearly merry that I didn't find so invasive. Loud they were too. Go figure.

Amazon reviews where people rate things 5 stars but say “not had chance to use it yet but I’m sure it will work well”.

I meant WTAF?

it is because they ask you to review the day after delivery. I just do not

Not been into Cambridge to park for years and don't think I'll be going again anytime soon!

The main Grand Arcade parking is extortionate upto 4hrs cost me £18.90!!! And if I had hit the 5hr mark it would have been £29.40!!! If I had gone to Peterborough it would have cost £4 for 4hrs.

What are parking charges like for everyone else?

Motorway 'service' stations, that aren't anywhere near the motorway, but several roundabouts/traffic lights away, down a never ending minor road ( and the toilets are closed..)

So much this.

You can’t beat an O.G. service area, conceived when the network was originally built, with its own dedicated exit slipway.

There’s a couple of particularly egregious examples of service areas sharing main junctions I have the occasional displeasure of using … the worst IMO is Exeter services off the M5, which lurks beyond two massive, multi-lane, traffic light controlled roundabouts. Hell on earth.

Lol Exeter was exactly the one I experienced!

Gloucester services, is heaven on earth, more like a nature reserve with farm shop/grass roof :)

Fruit trees round the back on the dog-walking trail too. Apples and greengages are just about coming into season. As you can tell, I like a trip into the southwest at this time of year ;)

Gloucester services are run by the Dunning family which owns Tebay in Cumbria and also Cairn Lodge on the M74 in South Lanarkshire, amongst other stuff. We try to time our stops around them, to the dismay of my kids who despise the artisan cola in the cafe and shop (though we’ve since learned you can get regular corporate colas in the filling station shops :D).

Oh how a day can turn to shit

Started great out early fast bike ride got a puncture fixed roadside. Then a taxi passenger opens the door and hits my bike. I get home to find my dog collapsed and could not get up. Got him on his feet and he seemed ok but that did not last. A trip to the emergency vet and he did not come home. I am heartbroken
