The postponed Copa Libertadores final second leg between River Plate and Boca Juniors will take place on 8 or 9 December but will not be held in Argentina.

A statement from South American football's governing body Conmebol said a date and venue would be decided "as soon as possible".

Yep good luck to whoever hosts this game if both sets of fans are allowed. It would be a bloodbath. Away fans are banned from attending league matches this season for the very reasons that led to the weekend's debacle. Some of the stuff that goes on inside the grounds on a frequent basis is just as bad tbh, it's just that we're only hearing about this because of the global interest in this final.

As of a couple of seasons ago the Argie government held the broadcast rights to the league games and were streaming them on YouTube. Turner bought a rights package for the majority of the games as of this season and unfortunately it's becoming more and more difficult to find streams which is a shame there's often some pretty decent football on show.

There are a couple of US based services reselling streams who will sell you a sub for around $10 per month which is a bit much if that's all you're getting so it would be great if Premier (or eleven) managed to add this to their portfolio.

Personally it is quite likely that the match might not take place in South America Peter.

That makes sense, removing the SD channels,so long as the channels remain inclusive to the tip package.

That is the vexed question though as who knows.

Let's hope this includes the Red Button streams too - but I doubt it.

The second leg of the Copa Libertadores final between Boca Juniors and River Plate has been moved more than 6,000 miles away to the Bernabeu in Madrid.

Not expecting many fans of either club to travel - so I would suggest a low attendance figure.

Yes not many will travel that is for sure as can we be surprised that the match got switched to Europe given the endemic hooliganism and criminality in Argentinian football.

Wonder who's palms were greased to hold it there. Ridiculous idea. Plenty of other places in the conmenbol region where they could have held the final.

Yes as you say Peter a backhander here and that goes a long way in the murky world of football.
