@ The Daddy. Brilliant news. If you give us an idea when to cross our fingers again it will make it easier to type in the meantime. :D

Been taking Osem Jnr out for some lessons in his shiny new car covered with L plates. I'm happy to say he's done pretty well and I've still got what little hair I had. :) Fingers crossed he carries on the good work.
I must say it's a really nice car with loads of kit and much to my surprise the tiny 1.2 engine copes well with 4 adults. It seems solidly built with no nasty squeaks or rattles evident so we're hoping it'll be a nice reliable car for him to keep a few years. ---------- Post added at 21:10 ---------- Previous post was at 21:06 ---------- Quote:

I'm sure he will Osem. Won't be long till you can call Osem Jnr for a lift after you have taken Mrs O out for a meal of course. :)

Once he passed we limited his driving for the first few months till he gained some more experience as my brother in law who is a policeman advised us to do that. |

Hard to teach common sense - kids learn by example (mainly), and they mirror their parents behaviours.
When my lad wanted to go work in a South African horse farm for six weeks, he had to get two part-time jobs (whilst in sixth form) to pay for the flights; similarly when he wanted to go visit his college chums in South Carolina (he did his 2nd year of Uni there). He wanted these things, he had to work to get them - and I think he appreciated them more for it. |
