First 1/2 Marathon in over a year and managed a 1:47 ish time.
WELL under my 2 hour target and a bit surprising given my almost entire lack of long training runs. I'll see if I can walk in the morning before I'm totally happy but right now it's looking good for my 16 mile torture session (aka the Southside Six) next month. |

Decided to get the living room all done for Christmas :) only problem is that I would like to move the tivo box to the other side of room but the problem is I do not have enough cable. My question is can we do this ourselves or would it be better to get VM in to do it? |

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
The excitement on Drew's face today when I gave him the deposit for the China 2016 tour as he did not know what his father and I had decided. He has been told that this will be the only school trip he will get. We felt this was a trip of a lifetime for him to have a truly educational and culture experience. I just wish they took the parents LOL as I will never experience the great wall of China, walking through the streets or the Shanghai night boat. The downside is no holiday's for us for the next two years. When I was at school, our school trips if we were lucky was to Stirling Castle or Edinburgh Castle.

Last full day down in Cornwall and the sun's still shining. Couldn't have asked for a better spell of weather considering the time of year Going back home tomorrow, the OH is getting a bit lonesome. I'll have to make it up to him.;)
There's still a few items on his "i-toy" list I need to get. |

My parents sent me to Paris when I was just 11 and to this day I remember the feeling of awe I had when I stood on the uppermost observation platform of the Eiffel Tower looking out over all those places I had only seen in books prior to the trip. Nor will I forget the feeling of sheer terror I felt climbing back down the spiral staircase then those endless steps to ground level. :D |
