Also, the HMIC report states (Chapter 6)
Quote:

Following the G20 protests, instances of officers failing to display their police numerals became the subject of intense media speculation
after a number of pictures and video clips emerged where no identifying numerals were visible on officers’ uniform......

.....it was the responsibility of individual supervising officers to ensure their officers were suitably attired and aside from the well publicised examples, having examined hours of CCTV and press footage, it is clear that the overwhelming majority of officers on the same video footage can be seen displaying their identification correctly.

1 out of 8000 not wearing numbers. I can accept those numbers.

as evidence goes that was pretty lacklustre .

As opposed to the circumstantial and anecdotal evidence supporting the proposition....

Almost as lacklustre as "he got a head injury, there were lumps of concrete being thrown about, snooker balls and metal poles flying about but I reckon it must have been a police baton that caused it"

None of us know exactly what happened yet but I'd have thought stuff being chucked about in a melee such as we saw could easily hit unintended targets.

Seems more seems more substantial than lacklustre

Wow - you mean that the snooker balls and concrete lumps had student-avoiding radar capacity?

Well students are no longer rioting in London..Can we leave the issue now?

Especially as this thread now about scoring points rather than having either a debate or a discussion about the issues.

How about a new thread called

"There is going to be more riots in London by Students and there new mates from the Unions"

That way we can debate the up and coming riots in January by both possible attendees :)

Thanks for providing that, but it does go one for about an hour and a half, you don't know roughly where they specifically discuss the officer with a number do you?
