Just watched Airplane again. The part where Leslie Neilson walks into the cockpit and the stewardess is blowing up the inflatable pilot and it looks suspicious really makes me laugh.

One of the best spoof films I've seen.

Would not recommend any film to anyone as I am not a film buff by any stretch of the imagination. If you like fifties black music , ie little Richard . I would say give it a go . Really do not know much of the story of Elvis life, but if correct it's interesting. I just love the music .

Rebel Moon 6/10, Ok, but not as good as I had hoped from the trailer.

Aquaman 2 (Lost Kingdom) 6/10, DC just dont seem to make superhero films as well as some others.
This was ok I guess, plenty of action in places, loads of SFX, but somehow it still just did not "wow" me.

Rebel Moon 4/10

It was like a first year film student who had seen Seven Samurai, Star Wars, Battle Beyond the Stars, and Dune had been given an unlimited SFX budget, but no money for script writers, and then they ignored any advice on how to improve the clunky dialogue.

Some good battle scenes.

Apparently they have cut it badly and there will be a directors cut with 30 minutes extra which is meant to improve the film

It did apparently start life as a Star Wars project but Disney rejected Synders script and he then reworked it to become this.

The One is silly but it's also a lot of fun. Romeo must die is also brilliant.

Once upon a time in China(1991), Cradle 2 the Grave(2003) and Kiss of the Dragon(2001) are also very good Jet Li films.

I don't go to the cinema anymore, far too expensive as well as the travelling and parking charges where I live.

Personally love to watch on my decent home TV so I'll try and hold out until a great version becomes available, probably in August or September.

I live in a village 9 miles from Cambridge so public road transport is very limited, the park and ride with guided bus is an option but it's still an incredible hassle and I've never used it. I also don't have anything like an unlimited pass option and the Vue cinema I would have used has just closed down. There is the 'Everyman' cinema thats not long opened and 'Light Cinema' which used to be Cineworld but the distance/cost and travel times is always going to be a pain, if I lived inside Cambridge it maybe different but as I said I like to watch at home.

There are no parking charges at the Odeon I use, its free.
Obviously there is the fuel cost to drive there and back (about 25 miles in total, so roughly £3).

My limitless card works out at around £9 per film, plus the cost of some goodies to eat.
Not sure what you class as expensive but about £15 to watch on a huge screen, with super (usually atmos) sound is well worth it to me.

As to the film in question, its only came out this week, its expected on HBO Max at around the end of September.

If I was able to go to the Cinema during the day on a weekend parking charges are something like £13.80 upto 3hrs and alot more after that, in the evening £1.50 an hour which is reasonable. Everyman cinema cost is £16.60 and light Cinema i can't find a price but likely atleast £11.

I've just seen it. Wow what an insult to the original. I do like a lot of Gunn's stuff but this was just bad on every level. Unless you're 12 years old or under maybe it might have some appeal.

I am certain that this one will never ever be rewatched that's for sure.

As for a score, then it'll have to be a total zero. Diabolical is all I can say.

I did struggle with it and was expecting something a bit more serious, but I got suspicious in the first few minutes when superdog came on the scene, I wasn't happy giving it a 7 but felt it was only a me problem that thought it was iffy after looking at the IMDB score.
