Playing Card shuffling machine for £6, it does the job perfectly for the 2 deck game I play with family, I don't expect it to last too long but can't go wrong for that price.

Bought some books for my GDip Theology course. These would cost £180 more on Amazon than the £260 odd I paid. Expensive but 10 volumes so £26 each not too bad. Soft copy £230 so I get nice dead tree edition for only £30 more.

We bought a Simba mattress and bedding the other day. This morning my wife asked if we had a second duvet cover. When I said no sha asked how much they were and it took me a while to persuade her it was worth spending £100 on a second one.
I went to buy it off Amazon and, in small writing as I ordered it, it said click here for 40% off applied at checkout.
No sign of 40% off when I checked out but when I got the email it confirmed I’d only been charged £60!
Result.

Did the premium go down? Mine did by about £50. Similarly the buildings insurance this year went down by £30.

I think this is the result of the regulator requiring that existing customers get the same deal as new ones.

My PAYG provider can upgrade to a sim only contract for around £6 a month: All you can eat texts and calls plus 10Gb of data. I don't need masses of data as I use the broadband for that.

Wow, Yes it was me, going back several years now! Well remebered!

It took quite some time to get it to fly propery but it did fly.

Eventually I had a hard landing and it broke off the engines and since then its been in the loft. We ended up having kids and its now a project for another day.
But definately will have to get back to it some day.
I'l have to dig out a video.

Yes, I really got my moneys worth, bought over 12 years ago though most of the time it's in standby.

The A12's display is stunning. At the moment I'm using it through the WiFi as I need to get a nano SIM with my provider as the Tocco Lite uses a standard size SIM.

I downloaded the user manual, only 107 pages long.

You'll hate it Hugh, honestly.

I'm free all that week, and to save you being bored out of your skull I'm willing to take your place. I don't normally do this sort of thing, but the thought of you struggling to enjoy yourself at this event has convinced me that it's my duty to do so.

I worked for a company that owned BAe-146s, and our building had a guy that overhauled the engines, he was going to give me some fan blades the next time an engine came in after a bird strike, but we all got made redundant and it never happened.

Some walking shoes from Mountain Warehouse. Shoes are one of those things I can't buy online (sandals maybe). The first pair (£25) fitted OK but cast my weight inwards when walking, the second (£50) a bit tight but felt better walking, the last (£75) fitted the best but soles are quite thick (do get 3 year warranty). I really just wanted some waterproof shoes for general wearing, my current pair are only 10 years old and coming apart in places. Trouble is the choice here without driving is Clarks or Mountain Warehouse, other retailers have closed or are very specialist with very specialist prices.

At worst I have a pair of shoes for walking and can find a general pair when out with car. If I can drive in these the problem is solved.

Shoes are a pain to buy as trying on, new pairs never feel as comfy as the pair you have on.

Some of our noise monitoring kit does high quality audio at 24-bit/192kHz and eats memory cards. It's been a while since I've used one but 4gig an hour seems to spring to mind.

I wish Mrs G would let me have one or any bike come to that, but I suppose she's right to say in my mid 50's I've got the disposable income to buy something that's likely to get myself killed on my way to somewhere like Squires in North Yorkshire. An old man can still dream.

Having recently bought the Expanse novellas which give backstories and fill in gaps the TV series didn't show, I bought the Role-playing game that has an exclusive story included.

7x5 Tanalised Pent Shed, 3 Terracotta plant pots, 50 litres peat-free compost, and various bits and bobs for re-potting Orchids.

Rock ‘n Roll!!!

Also, a pair of Merrell Moab 2 Mid GORE-TEX walking boots, and a pair of Merrell West Rim Sport GORE-TEX Hiking Shoes - I find Merrell boots/shoes are the most comfortable fit.

Well, that was fun.

Lots of free tastings, master classes, and chats with people from the distilleries - had a lot of tastings from Australian/Irish/Japanese/Swedish/Norfolk/Filey Bay/Scottish/etc. whisk(e)ys distilleries.

May have to have a nap now… :)

New towels for the Ukranian family arriving next Monday, they're staying at our daughters house so we've been busy over the last few weeks building furniture, sorting out the bathroom (they use their on-suite so it's been neglected). Still got a massive list to do.
