Still waiting for fibre in my neighborhood. Mind you we don't have access to cable either.

Ouch that isn't good having to rely on standard broadband over your BT line unless you live extremely close to the exchange and don't have to many people trying to access it at once.

My daughter is in the same position and has been for two years now since moving. She has signed up for VM to consider cabling her street which is just 100 meters from a cabled area, so far no joy and is dealing with sub standard BT as she is miles from the exchange. She wouldn't mind if she lived in the countryside, but lives in a town of 170,000 :(

Yeah I guess I have to compete with a fair few others as I'm slap bang in the middle of the town centre with several shops below and opposite me who I guess will be on the internet. Having said that my broadband speed isn't too bad but I don't download films or play games on the internet.

Eleven Sports to stop showing live European matches at 3pm on Saturdays.

The digital-only broadcaster, run by the Leeds United owner, Andrea Radrizzani, had come under pressure from the game’s stakeholders after the company had begun streaming Italian and Spanish fixtures in the UK at the same time as the majority of English clubs were playing their league matches.

Bit more awareness of the Eleven Sports brand at no cost. Job's a good 'un.

I suspect this may not be the end of it. I think it was about time someone challenged this archaic rule.

Why? as its important to protect the interests of the game in this country especially in the lower leagues.

What about all those people who can't make it or afford to go to a football stadium?

Watching football live at a stadium will not be affected unduly if the rules were changed. People are getting fed up with being manipulated and told what they have to do. Let the public choose!
