You are justifiably proud of both boy's achievements Osem. :D

I'd say they were both great achievements and as you say osem should be proud of both.

Osem Jnr. #2 seriously embarrassed his mum as they waited at the checkout by discharging a massively loud belch, all the time looking as though butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. He's such a pain in the... :D
That's what kids are for. :D

My happy thought: The new telly's installed and the stand assembled. Little bit of fiddling about on the DVD recorder to get the progressive component output up and running (That's separate RGB and audio cables). What a set, the borders are less than 10mm top and sides. HD picture is just breathtaking. Upscaling on the DVD is pretty good too.

It'll need the sound augmented as the philips CRT had a big sub-woofer in the cabinet. Sound is a bit reedy by comparison but you can't get big speakers into such a slim set.

Now I need to try and blag an HD box out of Virgin without having to pay for it and preferably without a new contract. :D

Good news, council jobs are a bit more secure than private sector.

Subwoofer for the TV has arrived, just plumbed it in and had a quick fiddle with the settings. It'll need a more extensive trial with different sound sources but bass is back! :)

Congratulations to Osem Jnr on passing his driving theory and hazard perception tests. Hopefully it won't be too long before OJ is driving you around. ;)

That is great news dilli.

It will make it a lot easier to get it into car boots. We swapped Dad's weighty wheelchair for a lightweight one and the difference it made was fantastic.
