Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4

Well that's the 1st day of High School over for Drew, he loved it but he was a bit shocked when he saw some pupils smoking I have told him to stay away from that area. " When I was at school I would have been one of those pupils at the smokers corner" but will not be telling Drew that ;)

Because I was the first birthday of the school year, once I turned 16 I was asked to buy the cigarettes for others in my year. I always got the money before I went though.

Several business invoices are in and paid. Toy budget is released. ( At last!):)

I'm looking at a new Sony Bravia* TV for the front room to replace the Philips Matchline 100Hz 28" that has done sterling service and will go up in the master bedroom. Need a decent new lappy too.

I'm letting the OH choose things starting with "i" It's a long list. LOL

*Picture on KDL42W706BSU gets 5 stars across the board plus connectivity looks good. Richer sounds seem to have the best deal. We'll have to evaluate the sound to see if a bar is needed or if the existing Hi Fi can be roped in. Seen the set in real life and it looks seriously good.

Thank goodness for that. I have felt your frustration over the last few weeks. When the idiot who ran into the back of our car at traffic lights finally admitted what he had done to his insurers we felt such relief that things could move forward.

Thanks den & joglynne will keep things updated but yes joglynne it has been really frustrating as well as stressful but never mind feeling slightly better as I am now on Mirtazapine that the my Doctor has prescribed to help me cope with matters they seem to be helping although they took a few weeks to start working hopefully will not be on them long.

Well that's the loss adjuster been and went, he took pictures and asked a lot of questions now it's back to waiting for us let's hope it's not too long for some answers. I am so glad that Duncan took the day off work and was here.

Thanks once again and who know's jo hopefully I will be posting some good news soon :) who would have thought that by my neighbour claiming our land to VM at the end of last year would lead to where we are today all because of the boundary report and the concerns raised in it, the loss adjuster did ask why our neighbour refuses to remove the tree in our garden and I just gave a  as I have no answer to that question.

Went over to Lewes (East Sussex) this afternoon to see my old boss from 15 odd years ago who's R&D director at a local company to drum up some new business for the Autumn. ( Sorted :) ) Decided to take the train as the car is in dry dock for an MOT. Made a pleasant change, Southern region trains are pretty decent these days and the return ticket was only £9.10. Never actually walked through that bit of old Lewes. Also saw a brewers dray with two splendid heavy horses making a local beer delivery. Bit foot sore but a good day.

After some confusion, Osem Jnr's just had his final 'A' level results confirmed: 1AA, 2 B's and a C.
The boy done good... :)

Osem Jnr. #2 seriously embarrassed his mum as they waited at the checkout by discharging a massively loud belch, all the time looking as though butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. He's such a pain in the... :D

What a great achievement for Osem Jnr 1 and what a typically totally cringe worthy, yet totally normal boy behavior, by Osem Jnr 2.

You are justifiably proud of both boy's achievements Osem. :D
