Highly likely we will get more of these partnerships in time and that can only be good for the viewer.

Virgin Media have confirmed there are no plans as yet to bring Premier Sports 2 in HD on their platform. Unlike sky.

The Premier sports deal with virgin is getting worse by the day. Absolutely pathetic.

You need to check your facts!!

Sky will never confirm anything about Premier Sports as the channel is nothing to do with them.

The only thing true about your statement is that Sky have not confirmed there are no plans. But then they have not confirmed there are plans.

Premier Sports said that 2HD would launch and also Freesport HD - but have gone back and removed all those references from their website.

You need to check your facts!!

You can not by a Premier Sport subscription through Sky TV.

You can go direct to Premier Sports and ask them to enable the channel on one of your Sky boxes only. You have to pay additional charges for addiional boxes.

£9.99 is the cost for new subscribers - regular cost is £11.99 for access on a Sky box.

It is nothing to do with Sky - it is Premier Sport that give you the streaming access if you subscribe direct with them.

You do NOT get streaming access going to Sky TV for Premier Sports.

So if you buy a Premier Sports subscription through Sky TV, for a tenner - you also get access to their internet player and 7 days worth of Sports video on demand.

If you buy the same tv subscription through VirginMedia, for a tenner, you don't.

Utter crap again.

Yes. We are talking about new subscribers. People who want to put Premier Sports on their televisions.

https://twitter.com/PremierSportsTV/...03473973010432

https://subscribe.premiersports.tv/

The facts are:

1)If you are a sky customer you can pay £9.99 to get premier sports on your television. You also then get a code to put in the premier sports web player which enables you to view their content online and also get their video on demand 7 day catch up service. Premier Sport has also stated this week that sky customers will be getting Premier Sport 2 channel in HD soon.

So you get 2 HD channels and their web player with catch up 7 day sport

2) If you are a Virgin Media customer, you can pay £9.99 to get premier sports on your television. No other web player code / package comes with this. Virgin have today said that there are no updates available as to whether Premier sport 2 is coming to virgin in HD.

So all you get is 1 channel in HD and 1 channel in SD.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

VM subscribers to PS have paid £0.00 for the past two months - New subscribers on Sky platform have paid £19.98. Regular customers on Sky platform have paid £23.98.

PS2 HD has NOT launched on Sky so you can not include that. It may also launch on VM so you can not compare. I'm not holding my breath for either of them to get it soon.

PS said both platforms would get all three channels in HD for the start of Pro14. So they have already shown their accuracy with information.

You need to post the facts as of today - not the possible facts in the future!

BT has secured UKTV on-demand content in HD and retains UKTV channels

Quote:

BT has secured ongoing access to UKTV channels, plus extra on-demand content in HD.

UKTV, the biggest multichannel broadcaster in Britain, has been a BT TV partner since launch and this new deal means BT TV customers will continue to get some of the UK’s best loved comedy on Gold, brand new and exclusive entertainment on Dave, as well as premium programming on W, Alibi, Good Food and Eden.

Customers will also soon be able to receive a bigger selection of shows on-demand with customers able to watch these in high definition (HD) via their BT TV set-top boxes for the first time. A selection of shows will also be available to download and play on the new BT TV app that now gives customers the ability to download and access content on the go as well as access to a range of TV platforms.

Out of interest are you getting charged for this now?

As of today Premier Sports no longer free without a sub but it is still showing on the Virgin Media website as free on the upgrade page.

I added the 'free' premier sports on 20th August, no mention of time limitation on either Virgin website or in the confirmation email.

This week, to my disgust, I received an email telling me my 2 month free period ended on 24th September.

I called virgin to get it removed immediately registering my complaint about the mis-selling. I was told it would be removed immediately without any need to give 30 days notice (another detail sadly missing) and no charge.

Total disgrace, no different to the general free 2 months everyone got so why offer it at all?

The Motorsport channel is to close its linear channel and move over to a streaming service. It will be interesting to see if VM decides to offer this service to its subscribers.

Haha I agree with den. Maybe then the v6 launched and the tons of apps we’d get.

Then the room went deadly quiet and we all looked at our feet sadly

The big question, of course, is how will this change of ownership affect us? Hopefully, we will see an improvement in quality, but alas, I feel I may be disappointed.
