They are NOT on VM in Oxford!

They (That's Oxford) said they were and I told them they were not - they then changed their story to "we will be later in the year" - but didn't say which year.

That's irelelevant as they were. merging in the same country. Ireland has different priorities for the main channels so it wouldn't matter about having the same numbers for lower range channels.

A new source has backed up MBs source that AMC isn't going to be on VM yet, i am still waiting for other sources to get back to me but so far 2 say it isn't coming to vm and 1 says it is.

At the moment you're not missing much anyway i haven't watched AMC uk yet as i have a US login so get AMC usa which is where i watch fear the walking dead, rectify is on Netflix Canada too.

UPDATE: YourTV may launch on Virgin Media.

Just seen this on FIC home page.

So still hope that YourTV may launch on Virgin Media as well as Freeview and Youview.

It would make a pleasant change if it did make it onto VM; recent FTA channel launches like Spike and TruTV have skipped cable.

New information from Virgin Sources.

We was thinking tonight about Lifetime HD launching in October so we ask our sources if it sister channels that broadcast right now on UPC Ireland will also appear when Lifetime HD launch.

We got the following back:

As of 8pm tonight our Virgin Sources are not aware of HISTORY HD or CI HD launching on Virgin Media anytime soon.

There's currently speculation that the owners of the National Geographic Channel are to launch a free version of their channel. It should be noted that, as yourtv will be showing some National Geographic Programming, some believe that they are one and the same channel. Nobody knows for sure yet.
