I've suspected all along that BT sport will not be on the XL pack, but as to whether I'd pay extra for it as a stand alone, it depends as to what's on offer.

Firstly I'd only want HD and all the channels, i.e. BT Sports 1 & 2 and ESPN. However at £15 a month I'd be put off as it's just under half the price of Sky Sports (HD) with much much less than half the content I'd want to watch (Just 38 games, no championship, no cricket, no NFL and no US open tennis or men's ATP 1000 events and limited darts). If I was into rugby then I can imagine the attraction.

I'm hopeful that VM will at least do a deal where XL customers get it at a discount say £8 to £10 a month. Otherwise I'll get it for a month just to see what it's like then cancel.

Have to say that if VM add Sky Atlantic HD, and SSN HD and SN HD then I think the XL pack will be very good value compared to SKY and BT.

Keeping fingers and legs crossed, hopefully we will hear very soon

BT has other football, including french, german and itallian leagues. Plus europa cup and FA cup.

I think sky has the better tv package. No contest.

Looking at that poster on ds forum's other posts I don't think he's in the know, merely speculating or assuming on the basis of discussions similar to some we've had here.

Am i the only person that does not give a stuff about Sky Atlantic or BT Sports?

You'll find there are probably hundreds of thousands of Virgin customers that share your view.

No, you're actually not. History in hd would be nice, but actually I could do without any of these channels.

I dont care about BT Sport as I am not a sports fan at all but I would really like Sky Atlantic as it shows so many great shows that I watch :erm: . Game of Thrones, The Borgias, Banshee, The Newsroom and Boardwalk Empire as all awesome shows and some of the best drama programs to come out of the US in recent years.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.

I am quite happy with my service from VM, its always nice to get extra stuff for little or no extra but i would much rather BT sport avoid the XL pack and go stand alone giving those that want it a choice.

My own personal opinion is premium sports from ESPN and Sky Atlantic are not of the same value (due to the huge costs for sports rights). Even though i am not hugely into the sports i understand that is adds value to the XL package. I would much rather both BT and Sky Atlantic avoid the XL package and we get a price freeze for the next 12 months. Sky Atlantic can't be that much of an issue for the 4million + VM customers otherwise they would be Sky customers.
