whys it take time to set up you either want to be on Virgin Media or Not , too many Discussions if you ask me and not enough adding HD channels as quick as we can get them

Because it's a business, people need to get paid and budgets need to be considered.

It's also worth considering that there is a finite amount of money to spend on new channels and the apparent dip in new channels may have something to do with VM earmarking some of it for Sky Atlantic HD. Lets face it that's at the top of there new channel list.

Yeah I do agree it just gets a bit frustrating sometimes. I admit progress is being made but it is a slow process due to cost, network capacity (as told to me yesterday in a email form virgins executive team) contracts being drawn up etc.

I have never had much patience though so even though I know discussions are taking place for me it is painfully slow from discussion to launch

I know they essentially only show repeats but those five channels cover nearly every genre except movies/sport. What TV do you watch?

Don't you suspect there are no discussions? How long can this tired old line be dragged out? Add this to the vague 4 or 5 word replies to your e mails that that Berkett (or whatever his name is) guy at Virgin gives you, it really doesn't look good for Virgin tv.

Here is a quote from the email I received " By way of explanation, it's not always possible for us to carry every channel we might want due to capacity and commercial considerations. We do constantly review and evolve the channels "

Vague for sure in reply to Henkesghost. I had to really push for a detailed reply. As my first reply was "were on it." The final email I had had a lot more detail which I have been quoting from.

It did say Dave, Alibi and Watch hd would be on Virgin but did not say when only hopefully same time as Sky but this is still in discussion with UKTV

got a email from neil berkett about UKTV HD channels and VOD deal. this is what he said

"We have the same deal Martin and will be rolling it out of the next few months"
