In reference to my previous post my webmail is actually loading now (kept on erroring out earlier - over several hours) but so far no email even though I'm a VIP customer. Ah well guess I'll wait and see tonight.

What times is the phone line open for the number they provide in the email? i.e. what times can you order from/till?

Just do what other have been doing and what Passingbat did due to their frustration.

Well, with reports of people ringing up and ordering Tivo without the email, the thought of being pushed further down the install que became too much I'm afraid.

I rang CS via 150 and was upfront with them; I said I'd pre-registered on day one, and hadn't yet recieved the order email, but said there were reports of people ordering without the emails and I was oncerned that install dates would get furthrer and further away for those who waited for the emails.

They gave me my authorisation code and the number to ring.

When I rang that number, I explained this to the CS agent and they said they had been authorised to take orders from people such as myself who hadn't yet recieved the email. at which point I was glad I'd decided not to wait

I've got installation this Friday.

If VM had followed the system they set out, I would have waited for the email, but sadly they didn't.

I have just booked my upgrade to the TIVO 1TB on the VIP50 being done on 13/4/10

I currently have the VIP 20 package with an additional V+ box and the HD movies on my main HDD box this is costing me £112 per month .

The new set up is costing

Activation £149.99
Monthly payment £115.00

This include the instalation, the resitiing of my old VIP HDD box as my second box and the removal of my existing second V+ box.

My Modem is being replaced as well to give the 50mb connection also included in the above costs.

I also confirmed that my contract is not extended to a new one so is still a 30 day rolling contract and not a new 12 month or 18 month contract .

My phone number , email account, addresses and services will not be changing except for the faster Broadband connection .

Should these sales staff be advising that it is a new 12 month contract while on the phone taking your order?

When i book Tivo will i have to pay the £149 there on the phone or does it get added to my bill?

The £149.99 charge is added to your next monthly bill , then again i pay by direct debit so that is what they said to me.

When I got mine they said that I would have to sign in to a new 12 month contract for just the TV ( I am a VIP50 customer so the other services are un-affected ).

So I would say yes.

I've got to be honest and say I'm 100% happy with my Sky service however I would never say I wouldn't come back and take a TIVO , I'm looking forward to your opinions as I know from your posts you'll tell it as it is. My only scepticism on it becoming mass Market is it seems more techy and I believe VM need to educate people well on it's many features.

Don't worry, I shall keep you well informed!:D

Is £115 right for that? VIP50 should include the Sky Premium HD free for a box and also includes the Tivo charge free. Don't see where the rest of the £10-£15 (not sure on exactly how much VIP50 should be) comes from?

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2

Hi, Hope someone understands my questions as it's sounds a bit confusing when I read it back, so hope someone can help! I'm currently on VIP20 with an extra V Box in another room (so I have a V+ box downstairs, and 2 V Boxes in other rooms if that makes sense?!) and am currently paying £105.04pm (and I can't work out how it's that much per month as when looking on the website, I make it to be £102.05pm with an extra box?). I received my TIVO email offer today and rang up and am having it installed this Friday, and I have upgraded to VIP50 and asked for my V+ box to replace one of the existing V boxes and asked for the additional V box to be removed so I will just have the TIVO and the V+ box, but my question is I was told that would be £100.55pm. Is that correct or will I have to pay extra per month for the V+ box being my additional box? Also, will I just pay the £149.95 installation fee or will there be extra charges for increasing to 50mb broadband etc. I should have asked when I called, but I was too excited about getting the TIVO to ask at the time! Thanks.
