Never asked, but I always assume it will be whenever I change any part of my services. Honestly, I don't care either way. I haven't switched providers in 12 years and only ever phoned 'retentions' once in that time so it's not like I'm going anywhere else ;) |

Re: 20 Mb/s to 30Mb/s free upgrade
Just ordered.
However being at work, I'm unable to access my email. Will I need to ring up, or is it all being done without the need of calling them up? Alternatively, will they call if anything? Sorry about the questions :) |
Re: 20 Mb/s to 30Mb/s free upgrade
For those of you who are getting the superhubs you'll have the "pleasure" of activating them via the Indian call centres. Have fun!:) But apart from that, the process was seamless when I got mine and on Christmas Eve too.

Ah yes, I remember ringing up before and the call centre lady was thinking "What the hell". That was a funny and weird conversation. Will let you know later at about 5 how things went. |

Re: 20 Mb/s to 30Mb/s free upgrade
Just rang the 0800 number to see if I deffo needed a tech and the nice young lady said as the 30mb is a new rollout everyone upgrading will be needing a technician to come and make sure it's working OK. lol. I didn't bother arguing it, it'll still be here on Thurs - just brought by VM man instead of HDNL man. Was just trying to save someone the bother to be honest.

Re: 20 Mb/s to 30Mb/s free upgrade
I'm presuming those who do go down the 50Mb route will probably get credited the £20 if you ring up?
---------- Post added at 13:06 ---------- Previous post was at 13:01 ---------- Ah, I've just had a look on the broadband section of the Virgin Media site, and XL is now 30Mb. Good move for new customers :) Apologies if this has been covered before, but this thread advances a page everytime I have a look at it (hard to keep up) :) |
