The Post code is SS0 0NL the cable box is located on the opposite side of the Road to 91 Rochester drive and Bikes and Trikes Motorcycle shop as the box is not outside a house. Maybe they will do something before we start getting problems.;) |

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. I.
Sorry to keep going over old ground in respect of people moaning about Sky Vs Virgin etc but just thought I'd add a few more points.
Sky has so much capability compared to Virgin due to how many people can access their service's, I am lucky that I can access both. However ADSL is so poor in my area around 5.5Mbps max which isn't enought for what I use the internet for. My brother who currently has Sky + HD would love to change to Virgin but unfortunately for him he is not in a cabled area, even though it is a new housing estate where he live's for some reason it hasn't been cabled. I have alot of friend's all who live on the same estate and ALL would switch to Virgin if they could, So I think it boils down to this. We will never know how dominant Virgin can be until they can deliver to the same area's as Sky. Once and if this ever happen's we will get a truer reflection of what is the most popular platform of choice. I was Sky through and through, I use to install back in the NTL day's and never really thought alot of the Tv side of things, however I do believe VOD has changed this. I still am not over impressed with the V+ EPG guide compared to Sky's but with TiVo on the horizon this is only going to improve leaps and bounds. I love VOD, I have used it sooo much more than anticipated. My Wife also love's this feature, she initially didn't want to change but she like myself now laugh's when we get yet another come back to Sky for 50% off as we throw it in the bin! VM provide a great service, yes thing's go wrong but they also do on other Platforms. (I had 3 Sky HD boxes prior to getting one that worked!) I like the fact I pay just one bill, and I like the fact I achieve 50Mbps download compared to alot of my friend's who can only dream of 10Mbps! Sorry for going on, I just can't believe how many people whine on here about the lack of SSP3 & 4 etc not in HD, Sky has pots of money as they can dominate the market due to the shear amount of coverage area they have. VM don't have this luxury, with what they have I feel VM do a sterling job. Likewise the VM employees, MB and many other's do on this site, they do it in their free time and do not deserve being slated for providing info. Simple solution, if you want the channel's not available on VM do everyone a favour and stop moaning on here and go and get Sky!!! And any new's on more HD on demand coming soon? I currently struggle to watch HD on demand in the evening hour's, take's around 10 attempts after keep being told its in high demand in my area at this time. |
