Tonight a friend introduced me to Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old, it's very very nice, unfortunately it costs a bit more than I usually spend on whisky, so I may have to up my budget in future, as I've been meaning to try it, but it's never on offer in the supermarket :(

If you like that, may I recommend The Macallan 12 year Old - very smooth, or the Glenkinchie 12yo (a lowland single malt), or the Dalwhinnie 15yo (highland single malt).

Re: The what are you drinking now thread

I'll add to my wishlist thanks :) The only Dalwhinnie I've tried was the one they say to put in freezer which I thought was ok, but I remember reading a lot of "experts" saying they were sullying the brand with that one!

There's certainly a lot to choose from, will look out for the Dalwhinnie myself. Now (got me in the mood) drinking Deanston 18yo. Slightly different type to what I usually go for. Best served with a few drop of water this one.

Never heard of these, so I googled it. They would be ideal for me, expensive though- $25 on the site I looked at!

They're not cheap,I was given mine as part of a goody bag from a supplier, it goes everywhere with me, in the car or in the side of my laptop rucksack bag when traveling, gets bashed all over the place and there's not a mark on i. well worth the investment though
