Not sure on that. I'm sure I read somewhere that Netflix weren't bringing the new interface to TiVo until 2014, so there may be a middle update for VM boxes

Chad may be interested to know that part of the update was an improvement to suggestions. And my TiVo has just recorded a film!!!

How has everyone managed to bag the 6 month TiVo deal then? Just renew for another 12 months?

Apparently, the new Tivo Romario has just got the new interface. The bitrate info has disappeared on the new interface on the Romario, which is disappointing IMHO.

After i got the update i had to reboot to get the Netflix app - my menus still seem rather slow. Will it help to do another reboot?

You won't get the same menu speed you get from a games console, but its not bad I guess - about on par with the normal Tivo menus (which aren't top tier either, but not annoyingly slow).

Not too impressed with the new Netflix app on my Xbox 360 - it looks better but we've actually lost a few features from the old version, like not being able to bring up episode info for the currently playing episode. There's also no way now to see if the content is actually playing in HD.

Very variable picture quality when streaming Netflix on Tivo. Was watching the Hobbit lat night (Saturday 8PM onwards) and it was really struggling to get to even 720 let alone 1080p - most of the time it was at 480 which is very disappointing. Certainly won't be going beyond the 6 month free trial period if this doesn't improve. Hemel HP23 area.

I noticed last night from 7pm that a super hd film, The Princess & The Frog, mostly stayed at 720p, jumped to 1080i for a few minutes but returned to 720p. I also watched Charmed around 10.30pm which played at 420 SD according to the info button which was like watching a poor Youtube video.
Teesside got Netflix just before the roll out started, last saturday we watched 2 super hd movies back to back without any loss of picture quality.

Is there anyway to tell what res Downton Abbey should be? My wife is watching it and it's only in 380SD!

At parents now , were fluctuating between 480SD 1.7Mbps and 720 HD 2.3Mbps on a Super HD title when pressing the info button.
