I'm on VIP50 but don't use all the features, so been looking at what I really want/need.

Never watch any of the zillions of crap channels, I just want "normal" mainstream channels plus sports.

I'm happy to pay for Sky and ESPN sports channels. So was going to downgrade to TV M+, but I lose Sky Sports News.

Is there any way to get Sky Sports News without taking TX XL ?

I have the Sky Sports Package, why is News not included ?

Sky Sports News is included in the M+ pack according to their channel list.

You're right, thanks :)

I was looking somewhere else and it only mentioned SSN under XL+.

Excellent, should be able to save myself almost £40 month :):) if I get rid of all the rubbish I don't use.

well i may have spoke to soon, we have cancelled again, do not like to be misled which is what i believe retentions did when THEY rang me, they said broadband would still be the same , paperwork says different, we were on XL now we are on L upto 30mb. so cancelled under 7 days cooling off period.

The point may have been that 30 will soon become 60?

L is up to 10mb (increasing to 20mb)

XL is up to 30mb (increasing to 60mb)

I rang Virgin and asked them to confirm what broadband size i am on, they confirmed L but boosted to 30mb because we have superhub , this will not be upgraded ,30MB is the upgraded speed, the fact i was told broadband would remain the same ie XL 30mb upgrading to 60mb really annoyed me.

How could it annoy you as you're paying for L, if you want 60Mb then pay for XL like the rest of us? :)

Exactly. They said likely said the speed would stay the same, not which tier you were on.

Mine has gone up £3 seems to have gone up early though?

I wasn't infromed either.

EDIT: I just worked it out it's £3 for extra TiVO box I was told there was only one TiVo box charge though.

Re: TV price rises

Given that the first bill includes an installation charge I would imagine this is a pre Tivo bill and a post Tivo bill and the difference is the Tivo sub of £3.

I was told £3 charge for TiVO not £3 per box.
