This is still basically the same team that threw away an 8 point lead with just six games to go two seasons ago. The team wasn't good enough even then.

Buying RVP and other teams ineptitude allowed United to win last season, this team would have been just a poor under Fergie this season.

Would you get rid of Moyes and also what would you do hyperthetically if you was in charge iadom?.

Certainly not, he was gifted a side that needed a major overhaul in several positions. That much has been very clear for at least two seasons, even longer if you think about any attempt to replace Paul Scholes. That will go down in my book as one of Fergies biggest mistakes, far bigger than Djemba Djemba, Veron, Kleberson et al.

I tend not to do 'hyper' ;) but hypothectically there is not a lot one could do other than keep plugging away ATM, you have to play the cards in your hand and at the moment there isn't a lot of room for manoeuvre.

The next couple of transfer windows will be crucial though so for the time being it's steady as she goes.

Ideally the share price will drop so low that the Glazers get cold feet and sell out to another oil rich sugar daddy.:D

Moyes was some figure at Everton, one to be feared. Fergie was in another league at Utd but you'd have thought Moyes would carry over some of that fear to Utd but apparently not with the amount of players giving him digs

But most of the players having digs have left or are more than likely going to leave, many players had a dig a Fergie after they left, big time in one or two cases.;)

Yeah too many players who can't adapt to the new manager. Just kick them out and get new ones. The manager is more important than the team, it's not as if these moaning players are bring that much to the team anyway. I do wonder what Sir Alex was doing buying players such as Zaha when he knew that he wouldn't be the dugout however.

Actually his record against teams we should beat is very good, especially this season, it's the record against the hard teams in England we do badly in. Although ironically we do quite well against big teams in Europe.

Not looking forward to tomorrow. We just seem to lose it when we play against United. Wouldn't be surprised for them to win tomorrow, lots of stuff about how Moyes has turned the corner, only for them to lose again at the weekend. Basically like last time we played them. :rem:

These lot don't deserve to wear the shirt. Its as simple as that. Wenger too. They all had to earn it this season, thats how the fans entered the season and although the season isn't yet over I just cannot see these changing it now. That was awful. No movement. No desire. Nothing.
The only thing that saved a dismal Arsenal was the sheer cowardice of Manchester United. I thought United fans were overreacting but that was the most pathetic performance I have seen from United at our place. The only club I have seen set out like that against us was Palace and we played much better in that game. United do not deserve top 4 with that level of cowardice and we don't deserve to win the title with that lack of desire. Looks like both teams will get what they deserve.

Pathetic game of football. Angrier that I was on Saturday.

I said Arsenal were poor. They were awful. The only thing that stopped us losing was United being happy with playing for a draw and not attacking us. Liverpool will destroy us on Sunday if we play anywhere nearly as badly as that. We were as bad as we were on Saturday! Lazy and uninspired. It was shocking.

Yes United defended quite well but why are they playing for a point when they're 9 points behind top 4? United were Champions last year and now they're playing like a team fighting relegation that's come to frustrate Arsenal and win a big point. It was cowardly. Why on earth did they spend £37 million on Mata if that is how they want to play?

Arsenal were a joke and United would have won that game had they had any ambition to do so. Arsenal should count themselves lucky that they didn't. Tonight is the night the title went, the players clearly don't want it.

No, they are playing like a team that is low on confidence, has had a run of bad results and tonight dug in and got a point away from home against the mighty Arsenal.;)

And they had the two clearest chances. It is only a point but that result will do more for United's confidence than it will Arsenal's.

Maybe United think this was a good result then. That's an even more damning indictment of the team. Arsenal were shockingly bad and United still didn't bother. The only real chances United got were from Arsenal's mistakes and still we got let off. United got a point. Liverpool and Spurs got three. It would have been better to try and get the three points than go for one. Any team that is in the position United are in now that still settles for a point is a team that has given up on top 4.

But whatever. If United are happy with that then good. I am just really angry at that performance from Arsenal, they deserved to lose. Players not moving forward, not making runs, just not trying and they could have gone top of the league. I would rather have lost that game going for the win that whatever that horror show was.

Liverpool and Munich next. They won't be so shy. This is going to a horrific month.

Because depending on who else is in the league, could be the only chance of Liverpool winning a league title in den's lifetime.

Arsenal only needed a player extra 07/08. Arsenal only needed a player extra 13/14. Same old story. Giroud is being run into the ground, burn them all out! He signed Park for commercial endeavours.. fraud! He signed Amaury Bischoff, a totally useless signing when every man and his dog said sign a proper DM to win the league. I was actually hopeful Wenger is now turning it around. January went by with nothing but an injured player. His tactics are starting to go stale again. I'm tired of it all, totally incompetent I'll be happy to see Arsenal finish 2nd at this point!

It really is quite harsh to say is incompetent already. :erm:

Will Giroud do the whole season scoring and assisting because evidence so far suggests not so who to call up? Bendtner?

It is only idiotic, if they still get relegated.

That's a near certainly given the idiots who run some of these clubs.

Doesn't seem relevant, it's not going to be a proper league, basically the only thing that's changing is that up to four over age players can play for the u21's, they will play in the stadium and there will be a TV deal, which is probably why they want to do it, we had competitive reserve leagues with the combination leagues years ago and we did away with them, this will hinder young players development as they won't go out on loan for competitive league matches anymore. Why do you think it's a good idea?

I agree, the Premier league have obviously decided that there's not enough football being broadcast and are intent on milking every last drop of revenue out of clubs on their books whatever the cost. Young players should be nurtured and developed away from the spotlight of mainstream broadcast media. I don't even agree with reserve games being shown on clubs' streaming channels. Improving grass roots football? Blatant exploitation imho.

Granted it was good when we had the Combination Leagues years ago but are not the Authorities not planning to restrict the loan system soon so the top clubs can't loan out all the countless players they buy and if that is the case then they will have to play in something and as such l think we should give it a chance at least.

Or perhaps they won't get bought at all until they're ready for the move, why stifle young talent in a meaningless glorified under 21 league, at least with the current loan system, despite it's flaws they're getting proper games and experience.

erm Warnock and Hargreaves reckon there wasn't a peno call for Sunderland in the first half. I thought it was.

:(:rolleyes:Was it a dive, no. Did the defender touch the ball, no. Did he make contact with the attacker causing him to fall, yes.

Was it in the box, marginal, definitely was a foul though.

Lambert took that chance from a yard out like an England centre forward .

Pathetic crowd, less than 17,000

Two reasons as one it is on TV and two most Sunderland fans are saving for their Wembley trip methinks.
