A good size pink hydrangea to replace a weigela shrub that the winter wrote off. Two geraniums and two dahlias to go into the tubs on the patio. Instant gratification. :)

Some pot plant bases and a length of 10x10mm square section aluminium tube to repair my sisters table umbrella.

Two of the three hydrangeas we planted late last summer look like they’re not going to flower this year thanks to a late winter frost. The only one that’s flowering now is the one that didn’t lose all its new leaves to frostbite. Still, at least they’re all still alive, and we have a huge one already that we planted about 10 years ago so we know they do well despite the highland weather (though our acidic soil tends to make the flowers go purple regardless of their natural colour).

My remaining "cheap" whisky tumbler has developed a crack - our glass cupboard is over full and not everyone is very careful about filling and closing door so ordered some of these.

I have some better tumblers for occasions but hopefully these will fill gap.
And a set of these pens https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to annotate my Bible. A test shows a little bit of bleed on study Bible but better on my other new Bible.

A 10m roll of 25mm wide woven elastic to repair the waist-band on a pair of shorts that has lost its stretch. Obviously 10m is a lot but it's only £6 and the leftover is bound to come in handy for something.

I had looked in the sewing supplies in the local supermarket but the widest they had was 12.5mm and I'm not sure that you could get two to stay side by side.

Teva FI-5 sandals. My first Teva's (F3000A) I bought in 2000 and lasted well into the 2010's, then I got FI-4 and they've only managed a few years - less well designed (to my mind - probably technically better though).
Price on Teva = £80, on Amazon also around £80 but what's this slightly different entry at £68, and in my size with a blue strap £61 - much better.

If it is just being used to extend wifi for browsing and streaming I do not see why it would be a problem. A lot of my Smart products only work on 2.4 Ghz anyway and seeing as 2.4Ghz has more range then 5Ghz I likely would set them up on that anyway

That’s great if you’re happy with it.

My 5G is far faster 2 floors away than my 2.4G is next to the router.

Your choice.

I was just reassuring Tinky and you did digest that I was only saying I would only set up my Smart home with 2.4Ghz as a lot of the devices I have only support that?

And as for speed I do not transfer data wirelessly across my network I just stream and browse the web. I take it from your post you do transfer data wirelessly or at the very least run a speedtest haha

I have 15 new books on my shelf, 3 eBooks and 5 more books still to come.

Example titles :

Introduction to Biblical Interpretation (3rd Ed)
A Handbook of New Testament Exegesis
Exegetical Fallacies
Perspectives on Children's Spiritual Formation

I want to do the module on Kids, Youth and Family but it's held on campus and no way can I get the Bridgend just for a day and I don't have leave left to take 2 days.

Most books I got from Amazon, some 2nd hand but some were much cheaper elsewhere. Ebooks I tend not to like but the Kindle book was £15 cheaper than book and 2 books on Google books were each £10 cheaper than either Kindle or dead tree edition. Still it adds up to near £400 so far. (Plus £6,600 for the course - 2 years)

The GDip is equivalent to final year of a BA at the same college - accredited by OU so it does have some value.

Spiral springs to repair several door handles. The manufacturer will not sell them to the public "in case of injury", but you can only recently buy them from a second party.

From the first month after fitting them, the springs started to snap, but Wickes would only exchange when there were 3 sets faulty as they were sold in a multipack.

And bizarrely, they didn't want the broken handles back on the THREE occasions I exchanged packs of 3 sets.

So now I'll have 9 handle sets ready to replace the next ones that break in the future.

Went to Sainsbury’s this afternoon to buy a chicken pie for dinner, and found out they have a "buy 6 or more bottles of wine/fizz, get 25% off" deal.

Left with a pie, 2 bottles of Sancerre, 2 bottles of Chablis, 2 bottles of Barolo, 2 bottles of McGuigan’s Shortlist Shiraz, a bottle of Tullibardine Sauternes Finish Malt Whisky (£15 off, couldn’t resist), & a bottle of Rémy Martin VSOP Cognac Fine Champagne.

Expensive pie… :D

actually, it quite cool. Took 5 minutes of furmark before the fans kicked in ( 35% TDP) once it hit the 90s the temp rose but was maintained well. But yes it will when you add the 9900k hehehe

A bought a padded envelope to send some knitted jumpers to my niece for her wee girl. I sent the same parcel last week but put her old address on it cost me £8,,50 it was returned to me , now I have reposted it with her new address another £8 50, , If I could have spoke to someone at the Post Office track and trace, before it was returned it would have been ok, but all you get is an answering machine, Silly me in the first place,
