I wouldn't line the rabbits hutch with The Sun and no I don't read The Times although on the odd occasions I've received it , its an ok read. Good news for VM regarding the BBC on TIVO.

DF how many planned apps are in the pipeline for next year apart from the BBC/Virgin joint ones as it would be nice to have a bigger selection.

I would like to see a Lovefilm and/or Netflix app ,

I would like to see some more on demand apps ie 4oD , Demand 5

I would like the Ebay and new Youtube app to have a login option.

I think It would be a bad idea to have adverts on the world service, but making the World service Internet only is not a bad idea, trouble is that a lot of nations have bad or no internet connections

Also The BBC need to control its lisence fee so that it has less interference from the government, how the BBC runs should not be on the basis on who runs the government!

Actually the 24 streams are only for Virgin TiVo customers.

l would expect Al Jazeera sooner rather then later to come onto Virgin's platform as they are also planning to bid for the Premiership football rights.

As you may have seen The BBC will launch an App on Tivo sometime before April 1st 2012. With extra streams for Live sports.

But my insider has confirmed to me that non-TiVo viewers will only get the standard service that broadcast on Sky or Freeview.

Well, as we end 2011, what do we all want Virgin Media to provide for us in 2012?

Speaking personally, I think that with the TIVO box and the new HD channels, they have provided me with a huge amount of what I have been looking for over the last few years.

However, the following would make my wish list complete:

Sky Atlantic/HD
Al Jazeera
CBS Drama
MGM HD
Netflix and/or Lovefilm on the TIVO box
Improved functionality on the TIVO box (along the lines written about in other threads).

I cannot believe that my wishlist has become so short, but to my mind, all of this would make it a perfect service. Until 2013....! What a long way we have come. Well done, Virgin Media, a gold star from me.

Yes l agree with a lot of your sentiment and l would expect most of these channels to come in 2012 as well making what already is very good even better.

Well I personally want to thank everybody on the forum for a year of info especially mediaboy who does really well with all info. I hope to see new channels on vm next year, more TiVo apps, TiVo to go, access recordings on other boxes, 200mb broadband and maybe 2 tb TiVo merry Christmas and the all the best for 2013

It's been another good year on the Coming Soon thread. I'm looking forward to 2012. Let's hope we get plenty of new TiVo apps, plenty new HD channel, plenty new TV on demand and hopefully our "friends" over at SKY will play nice and allow us access to SKY F1 and SKY Atlantic.

Channel 5 +1 to launch before April.

I have no launch date but Channel 5 +1 will launch on Virgin Media sometime before April 2012.

Remember the Murdoch's own 39% of Sky and given the events of the last 12 months they might have to sell that possibly in the future and anyway Sky is its own master and certainly not Murdoch's lapdog.

Are you sure about that, the chairman of BSkyB is James Murdoch and they share resources and technology with other News Corp Companies
