Re: Moans and Pet Hates - Part 8

I had my COVID and flu vaccines at the weekend. I was already fighting a cold but no fever (36.3C) so they gave me the vaccines.
Now I have a fever (38.3C) and feel crappy. Called doctor and recommended to take paracetamol and Ibuprofen with meals, when I can feel like eating.
First time I've ever had any bad reaction to a vaccine.

‘Flu-like symptoms’ are common side effects of the flu vaccine. If you’ve never experienced that before, you’ve been lucky up til now!

I get my Covid and Flu jags on Wednesday. I'm usually not too bad with them, but I'm meant to be going to a football match that evening so really hoping I'll be fine this time.

I had mine on the 4th of this October month. The COVID jab felt like it left a slight bruise inside the muscles. The flu jab slightly blocked my sinuses. My arm was fine, the sinuses annoyed me :(. 6 COVID jabs here. I thought it was my fifth at most

I had my 8th Covid jab with a Flu jab on 4th October, an RSV jab on the 20th and my B12 inj on the 25th. Had full blood tests taken this morning resulting in my going back to hospital for a packed red blood cell (pRBC) transfusion early tomorrow.

Feeling a tad fed up at the moment with anything to do with needles but at least I'm getting my money's worth and I'm still around to be able to have a bit of a whinge. :D

Covid jab on Thursday, but no word from our GP (or even Tesco and Asda) about when they will start NHS flu jabs.

Will they not automatically give you both? I get both together up here.

I've got my flu jab in a few weeks, it was really difficult to find a time slot at Boots which I had to use as works medical is paying with code.

NHS Wales is a strange animal, so logic goes out of the window, as it always has.
