Noticed they've snapped up rights to the NBA, NFL and UFC in other European territories. I'm sure Sky's deal for NFL Monday Night Football just expired and BT's deal for UFC has less than 12 months to run. I think there might be some surprises on the horizon. |
Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
Sky's WWE deal is up at end of December 2019

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
Remember the speculation as to whether Eleven would launch any sports channels of their own following their acquisition of various sports rights? Well, there are reports today that they have won Serie A rights for the UK, will announce more content soon, and will make two channels available from August via either an annual or pay monthly subscription.
http://www.euronews.com/2018/07/12/i...ports-channels As it is now strongly implied that they intend to be available on Sky by August, I wonder if they will also be added to VM?? |
Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
Where is it implied they will be on sky?
|
Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
The only way I can see this going is available in lower tier packages like Eurosport , I just can't see that many subscribing as a standalone sub.
|
Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
Tricky one isn’t it, they wouldn’t get too many standalone subscribers at the moment as you say but having bought the rights they must have a plan that isn’t just giving them away for free surely

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
wonder why they are holding back on announcing further rights
anyway, at this stage I'm more concerned with how I can find my serie a and what it will cost me |
