I think it is important that VM embraces new technology to ensure that it remains a serious player in the market. Otherwise, Sky will continue to be regarded as the market leader and hoover up the much needed income from new subscribers.

I don't care if we don't get Sky 3D, but I would want to see a comparable selection of programmes on demand on Virgin.

I thought they always have done. Not that we watch it much in my house.

Not before Disney Channel joined the XL Package and become an Kids Channel.

I did watch Boy meets World, Teen Angel and The Wonder Years on it years ago.

Is it the 3D glasses that are the problem?
I'm a wearer of glasses so the 3D ones don't bother me. I have used the 3D glasses over my normal glasses and used them when I have my contact lenses in and haven't had any issues.

I don't use my 3D enough on my tv, but it's down to content more than anything.

If I had a choice, I would def take the HD channels (Nat Geo, Universal etc) over the 3D one ;)

Confirmed: Forces TV to launch on Virgin Media.

Media Boy HQ has just found the following web site http://forces.tv/

Media Boy HQ has not seen any info on when Forces TV will launch or they Virgin Channel number - but DS Forum is reporting that they are testing on Virgin Media and Sky right now.

It seems odd that VM are launching this service, yet, unlike Sky and Freesat, don't have the the BFBS radio station.

It's a pity about the rights issues preventing non military personnel from watching BFBS, they show Game Of Thrones on BFBS Extra.

Thought HBO was exclusive to Sky

I wonder if any UK based military people would be allowed to watch this channel :D

Is it rude to ask why you wanted to know?
Maybe Disney need more money from advertising to fund the new Star Wars film :D

They seem to have pushed out 3D even before HD has become fully established. We still don't have HD channels as the norm yet.

But like OLD BOY says, it's important for Virgin to keep exploring with new tech and new content.

Tennis was shown on it for two weeks for two years.

Channel was only on Virgin Media on Channel 523.

I did see rumours on Cable Forum that all the Disney HD Channels may launch in June on Virgin Media.
