You're not too far from the Slaters warehouse in Uddingston. They open to the public one Sunday a month (first or last Sunday I think). It's worth a look if you haven't been before.

We are getting a Tivo box, and 100meg, I told my dad to make sure the put the hub on modem only as I want to keep my router.

Quick question what is the ip for the super hub and username and password and how do I check if it is in modem mode only?

I believe my routers IP is 192.168.1.1

SH is 192.168.100.1, the username and password will be on the SH.

Login and click the middle red square box for 'Super Hub Settings' then near the bottom of the page you can put it in modem mode, this is assuming it has the latests firmware already on it.

Actually, mine's 192.168.0.1  However, as you said, all the settings will be the SH itself.

Just checked the back of my SH and it indeed says 192.168.0.1 so it looks like they both work.

My hub has 192.168.0.1 but that didn't work, but 192.168.100.1 did

We had a special visitor at work today... Stephen Hawking :)

One of my workmates has known him for ages, as her mum is one of his carers. He went to a BBQ at her house last month, and expressed an interest in seeing where she worked (she joined us at the start of the year).

So, today he came along with my workmate's mum and another carer. He had a tour of the offices and lab, the MD gave a presentation on what we do, and he then asked some questions of the MD and let us take a couple of photos.

Mrs Osem & Osem Jnr are on their way home after 12 days seeing family and friends in E. Europe. Their flight's due in about 10pm and I can't wait to get to the airport, pick them up and get the safely back home. Should be home before midnight if all goes well.

Having said that, it's been great being alone with my 'special' lad - so much simpler with only 2 variables in the family equation. Although he's been hard work at times it's been really nice spending so much time with him and learning even more about what makes him tick. We've been out and about, shared a few BBQs in the back garden and I've enjoyed indulging him with some of his favourite meals. Jeez I can't believe how much that lad can eat but I've always thought a good appetite is a sign of good health and on that basis he's a fit as a butcher's dog and without an ounce of spare flesh! :D

Yes very much so!! :) He's an enigma and certainly has his quirks (very embarrassing at times) but it's been great. Last year the other two went away for a couple of weeks during term time after Jnr's GCSEs so I didn't get to spend all day with our youngest. That's what's made this time different and all the better really. We're all off to the Isle of Wight in a few weeks so he'll get his holiday then and we'll all chill out together.

I remember standing next to him in Rumbelows in Cambridge 20 years ago and saw him a few times near the Mill Pond when i was drinking. :)

More good news - Mrs Osem has just opened her pile of mail to find out that after a very hard year of studying and putting up with us 3 lads she's passed her massage therapy course with a merit grade!

:cleader: :cleader: :cleader: :cleader: :cleader:

Having seen how much anatomy, pathology and physiology she had to study I'm so proud of her! She's signed up for a reflexology course for next year so hopefully she'll be able to start her own business in the future and build a career. :)

Brilliant! Congratulations to Mrs O, a happy time all round for your family Osem.

My happy thought our youngest granddaughter is 15 today and our wee budgie still going strong at 13. Now I'm off to do a bit of retail down the local market. :D

Ahhhh, being a parent sure puts things in perspective. If you think you were emotional this morning just wait, it gets better with every milestone a child achieves. :)

Ain't that the truth! My boy is almost four and is an absolute whizz on the iPad, have to severely ration his usage of it.

I know exactly what you mean. Our 'boy' is now 33 and he can still bring a tear to my eye when I see him achieving a new milestone.

He is due to be a Father himself early next year and seeing the joy shining out of his face when he and his partner broke the news to us had me crying whereas my tough husband, by pure coincidence, got a speck of dust in his eye which made him tear up when he gave the expectant couple a congratulatory hug. :D

I'm just testing that newly installed programs work sweetly whilst no one is using them - hence the creeping around in the dark except when the sensors pick me up in the rooms and parts of the corridors. It feels very creepy.

Found out yesterday I will be going to Vietnam (Hanoi and Ho Chi Min City) for a week in November, for work.

Exciting! - never been there before.

Enjoy!

I've seen some very interesting eateries in Vietnam. Cages filled with fruitbat in the back, cat, dog and mouse on the menu. We stuck to chicken, beef and prawn IIRC. :D

Staying here for a week http://www.derbyshireluxurybreaks.co..._House%20.html (photo's don't do it justice)

My wife's parents 70th year & a week in this sumptuous 6 bed to help them celebrate. The only downside is that I couldn't book the week off of work so I have to commute for 4 half days

How happy am I sat here on the Isle of Wight, on the balcony of our apartment sipping wine in the moonlight
overlooking a lovely creek. Stress? what's stress? Lol

Just feeling....awesome :D

Had my ADHD medication upped temporarily and one of the side effects is feeling really good. The stuff I'm on is methylphenidate which is a stimulant similar to amphetamines but is given in a controlled dose.

It's hard to describe but I'm not high or 'wired', I don't feel crazy, dangerous or out of control, just confident. Not to the point of Stupidz where I feel I could take on Mike Tyson or anything, just....good :)

If anyone has seen the Bradley Cooper film 'Limitless' then they'll have an idea. It's only short-term release so I have about another hour of this but.......wow :D

Cheers Tinky.

We're all having a go at the cooking although yesterday it was Sunday lunch @ the local pub & today its BBQ day although its a tad windy & cool (no rain yet tho which is good)

Not seen the cat, the owners live just down the road so it's probably there!

Youngest's plane touched down in Turkey on time.

Wearing the Tee that he was I doubted that he'd be allowed across the border. (It was sexual but not racist). He was warned (at home) not to XYZ.

So did he touch down - who knows?

I rediscovered Dylon.
A set of bathroom towels etc, that were not so pristine white any more, are now a vibrant deep green.

We had "a bit of a do" (ie a family party) at my parent's home today so I got dressed-up a little. I put these brown trousers on that I haven't worn for a while..... and found a fiver the back pocket :D

On a budget? Dylon what a boon for drab tired nylon underwear, gives them a new lease of life.

Happy thought, off to Newquay tomorrow for a spot of retail/fun. :D

My happy thought it is that it didn't rain on me or even cloud me over in Wales yesterday and that youngest's friend visited and has been through the mincer for every terrain possible.
He's off to Af in February. He's doing well and living Life. And will be agreat servant to his country.
