I'm glad he's kept Giggsy on as his assistant. My only worry is the team could start listening to him rather than LVG if results don't go well, similar to John Terry after Mourinho left.

l hope you are alright Mark as it seems you are still suffering from your food poisoning and my advice is to see your doctor again as any effects should have gone by now.

With LVG I can see it going one of 2 ways - he'll either light a massive fire under their behinds and get them back or thereabouts to the pre-Moyes days or he'll alienate the players with his self-professed arrogance and discipline to the point of mutiny where they'll only listen to Giggs. Seeing as LVG is similar in many ways to SAF plus he does have experience at the highest level with some of the biggest teams in the world I feel more confident in him than with Monkey Moyes but he has been out of the game since 2011...again that could be a good thing and he'll be itching to carry on or the 3 years might have passed him by a bit.

I'm not expecting immediate success (although he won the German league with BM) though, as long as he gets up a top 4 finish next season I think things will be looking good in the transition.

Shame he tarnished his reputation by having that fling with his brothers wife and Imogen Thomas then getting an injunction to stop them revealing the details. Good riddance.

He didn't tarnish his reputation at all, I reckon most people had forgotten about all that by now.

Sorry but that's nothing to do with football as a private life should stay private and he should be admired for the service that he has given to the game of football..

Isn't he the Guy that failed to get Holland to the world cup and nearly got Barcelona relegated, his spell on Munich was so successful that he was sacked for dropping out of the top three, still he was good in the early nineties with Ajax.
