Wales' autumn Tests set to switch to paid-for TV.

Quote:

In what would be another huge blow for the Beeb, Sky Sports are being tipped to win the rights for the November games from the season after next, with BT Sport also interested.

If the satellite broadcaster is awarded Wales’ autumn matches it would mean another block of Welsh rugby going to a subscription channel following the move of Guinness PRO14 games to paid-for service Premier Sports.

I think it ends in August 2019, but like you, Chad, I'm not certain about that. I think it is linked to the Premiership League contracts.

This looks like it is in Italy not in the UK. I may be wrong but don`t BT have the rights in the UK for a good few more years yet?

I'm pretty sure Sky in Italy don't offer it yet also.

No, the current deal ended this season. I’m anxiously awaiting news

On a possibly related point, my sky go avenue will end in August, does anyone know the likelihood of picking up Now TV sport day/week passes for cheaper than the advertised price?

I always seem to get a cinema pass on a cheap deal, does the same thing happen with sports passes?

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

"The new deal means that Sky Sports in Italy will be the exclusive home to 7 games out of 10 on each match-day. The Serie A rights will add to the already extensive sports offer available on Sky that for upcoming three-year period including majority exclusive UEFA Champions League, Formula1, Europa League and Moto GP coverage."

Unless:

1) BSKYB has now been renamed Sky Italy in this country
2) BT Sport have shockingly given up their champions league coverage and europa league coverage and abandoned their 3 year contract to Sky....

I believe this is Sky Italy.

i have no idea why its down on the sky corporate website in english since it has absolutely no impact to us
