I wonder if Eleven Sports have bought a pack to bolster their recent La Liga success?

Don't have to have made a bid in round 1 of bidding to progress further if needed?

If they do not have a channel, how else can they broadcast? Online only?

But not just that as Comcast are bidders as well and they have no hurdles to clear so we could still see higher bids for Sky being made..

Fox’s Sky bid to be cleared if plan to divest Sky News is agreed

Fox is told by the Government its takeover interest can proceed so long as terms of a divestment of Sky News can be agreed.

Virgin and TalkTalk discuss deal over broadband sharing

Virgin Media and TalkTalk are working on a deal to share the cost of new ultrafast broadband networks and dial up the pressure on BT.

The two operators are understood to be discussing sharing so-called passive infrastructure. It would mean TalkTalk could lay fibre optics in Virgin Media’s underground ducts and vice versa.

TalkTalk is trying to transform itself from a reseller of BT broadband lines to a network owner in its own right via a £1.5bn deal with M&G.

They aim to connect three million homes with faster, more reliable lines but have not yet finalised their terms.

Nothing but trouble for virgin if they get involved with TalkTalk - terrible company, unreliable, poor service and atrocious customer service.

Yes, though they would still have just one sport and not eleven. :D
The other names I've heard banded around are: Amazon, Facebook and DAZN which is based in London but apparently big in some other countries.

They're just swapping holes in the ground so I think VM will be ok.

Yes, will be interesting to see who wins the bid. Would not have expected Liberty Global to have retreated so quickly from Europe so nothing is ever predictable.

gs1 on DS forum posted a Twitter link from the author of The Telegraph article saying it's rumoured Amazon are in for the remaining premier league packs.
