Because there’s a massive bunker there, so when the inevitable planet killer comet hits the Earth we can all hide there for a year or so, then re-emerge and rebuild the planet, well the western bits.

Unfortunately, Engineers, scientists and artists are invited, people with human and gender studies degrees will be left to perish.

And no, I’m not drinking………much

Agreed. All that good tea going to waste in 1773 pains me. We need to take back control.

Some special relationship!! Sounds like what the USA and the USSR would have done with a hostile regime and not a fellow NATO member.

Musk examines how to oust Starmer as UK prime minister before next election

Technology billionaire interested in building support for another political party, notably Reform UK

Musk, the world’s richest man and key confidant of US president-elect Donald Trump, is probing how he and his rightwing allies can destabilise the UK Labour government beyond the aggressive posts he has issued on his social media platform X, the people said...

Musk has sought information about whether it might be possible to build support for alternative British political movements — notably the rightwing populist Reform UK party — to force a change of prime minister before the next election, according to associates...

Musk has been examining possible candidates to replace Farage as leader of the party, including Reform UK MP Rupert Lowe, and has probed what mechanisms there are to replace him, according to people briefed on his thinking.

Ed Davey has the right idea:

Quote:

In an avalanche of posts on X, he has said Phillips should be in jail and called for America to intervene to overthrow the Labour government.

In response, Davey posted: “People have had enough of Elon Musk interfering with our country’s democracy when he clearly knows nothing about Britain.

It’s time to summon the US ambassador to ask why an incoming US official is suggesting the UK government should be overthrown.”

There must be something behind all the Canada/Greenland/Panama hot air. Normally populists will try and distract the audience when there is something they don't want you to focus on or they are planning something they don't want you to know about. I wonder ... :erm:

Trump has a massive ego and being the President that adds a state and/or increases America's size would be huge for him.

Plus both Greenland and Canada are genuinely advantageous for security and economic purposes.

Canada is a non-starter but he probably thinks there is an outside chance of Greenland.
