I would really prefer some quality english speaking channels if I am to be honest.

But there's only really one of those left that VM hasn't got. And that aint coming anytime soon.

That's all well and good but many of the XL channels have gone into the lower tier packages so what are we getting to replace them? Maybe a few HD versions of the current SD channels like Universal would be a start.

The following channels are set to launch on Virgin Media next month:

-Sky News HD - Channel now testing at Virgin HQ.
-Sky Sports News HQ HD - Channel now testing at Virgin HQ and will appear on Virgin Channel 511 from launch.

Me too. And don`t you have to pay the `rip off` sky hd fee to get (when they come) sky news and sky sports in hd?

Both Channels are "Sky Basic" HD Channels so will appear in XL Package (Just like Sky1 HD do).

Sky Atlantic is the only one we haven't got that floats my boat, and that has plenty of rubbish associated with it as well.

I would like to see an Australian channel showing the best of their programming. Unfortunately, that country doesn't seem to have done anything to 'internationalise' any of their channels - at least I am unaware of them.
