Virgin know what they are doing as this decision is make or break time so I'm sure the have got something lined up maybe sky Atlantic in the XL pack and BT sport in the VIP and subscription for everyone else

IMO, the most likely scenario over the next few months is:
  • BT Sport launching, as a standalone package
  • Sky Atlantic (& HD) added to XL, from money paid to ESPN
  • Some of the extra ESPN money being used for bringing in other HD Channels, such as Universal and History (i.e. companies who have recently signed new deals, waiting for ESPN to leave the XL pack)

Personally, I think that would be a pretty good result. Being a sports subscriber, BT in the XL pack would be a nice luxury, but you can't always have perfection.

You can. You could have BT infinity, free BT sport, sky tv package with sport

Unless you want to stay a 40 year old virgin of course, then no :D

BT and their rotten rude customer service are about as far away from perfection as you can get.....

Over-rated sports channels and people who know better than me say the broadband isn't great either.

A plague on their houses!

BT Sports in XL pack but only for people who have subscribed for over a year imo

It would be a good result,

colin25, I personally wouldn't say yours is that good, infinity doesn't provide the speeds I need for my work. I personally wouldn't pay anything to Sky after the way I was treated doing freelance work for them a few months ago, but that's my opinion.

I see BT being VIP & Standalone
Sky Atlantic M+ with HD in XL
And a few more HD, probably History and CI coming when Lifetime launches

The only other way I can see it been free in the XL pack is if they did it for a year from the Launch other wise I suspect it will be a standalone channel.

Given VM's stance on not allowing companies to sell there channels direct like BT are doing on Sky negotiations are bound to take longer as a wholesale agreement will need to be signed

Some posts have been deleted or edited. If someone makes an offensive comment report it and let the team resolve. There is no need to enter into a long discussion of it.

Am I right in thinking that Media Boy was going to post some information at 3.20 today or did I imagine it?

It's not VM's stance, it's the technical ability of the platform
