The premiership is so close this year, it seems any team can beat any other on a given day...
Allthough it`s not over yet!

Chelsea 0 Sunderland 3

Well that was a turn up and no mistake. Well done Sunderland.

Your not wrong there, fully deserved win for Bruce`s boys, maybe City letting Onuoha go was a wrong move, he did look like he had something!

Bad week for Chelsea what with Ray Wilkins saga et al.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard out for three or four weeks with injury. Thanks to last nights england game.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011

Regarding last nights "game", it really did show the gulf in class between England`s players and France`s. The skill and composure when on the ball displayed by most of the French team was outstanding compared to the England team who couldn`t control the ball for toffee. Has marking/running with a player been banned by Capello? The amount of times the French were able to play neat and tidy football without an England player getting near the ball was frankly embarassing, even when they did get it everyone ran away from the ball carrier so he even had to hoof it up front or go backwards or sidewards.
No disrespect to Newcastle or Blackpool but when your two main strikers are from clubs that have only just come up to the premiership you know the situation is pretty grim. Carroll looked ok but the future? If that`s the future then :erm:
The players just aren`t good enough technically, the only one who would probably make the top 20 worldwide sides is Gerrard, the rest look distinctly average :(

balls why couldn't arsenal keep a clean sheet against the spuds argh. At least punky will be happy with a 1st win in 17 years at the arsenal ground. But why oh why are we losing at home this much

Great result and display (especially first half) from Man City today :) To win 4-1 at Craven Cottage is a result for any team but the manner in which City played was the more pleasing. It looked like the players really wanted to prove something and they actually looked like a team, not just a group of expensive footballers!
Someone mentioned it in commentary and i think they may have a good point. Mancini realizes that the team aren`t quite ready to go toe to toe with the big guns in a footballing sense so opts for the difficult to beat approach in these games. Then against the lesser teams he plays a more expansive pressing game with the knowledge that the quality of the opposition is unlikely to cut them to pieces on the break.
Maybe all the arguments and negative press that have been abundant in the press recently have made the squad stronger as a unit (obvious individuals not included).
Hopefully this is the start of a run of form that will help secure a Champions League spot. :erm: Why did i just say that, i`ve been a City fan long enough to realize they never do things straightforward

Violent thug out for 2 months I'm sure the rest of the Premiership will be breathing a sigh of relief.

Braga V Arsenal......

Sorry, but I have seen better games at Conference level.
Arsenal, or more than likely Wenger has got it all wrong, I almost fell asleep.
Edit: Braga have just gone 2 - 0 up, serves Arsenal right.

It was a boring game but they didn't get it all wrong. Getting it all wrong would mean Arsenal were being outplayed but that clearly wasn't the case. Instead the usual defensive failing and mental strength was lacking, it was a very poor game.

I think Arsenal's time will come in a season or two. Overall it's a very young squad but the potential is definitely there and with a bit more experience they'll surely be up there challenging for the premiership title.

Strange match last night with Rangers v Utd in that Rangers played, in the first half at least, like a team who were playing away and not needing a win to keep qualification in their control. Sooo defensive, it was strange to watch.
