If the League Cup winners have already qualified for Europe by a high Premier League finish, then the next highest-finishing Premier League club gets this place

First time we've been to any major final? That means more than beating Liverpool. Our place in the Premiership is secured, we're not going down.

I always think its a risk resting players for a final, it will be 2 weeks since they last played and any good form they had will possibly be gone. If a player is playing well keep on playing him, theres no need to rest him.

I agree Shadow. Plus now Swansea could get fined for fielding a weakened side.

Russ I don't agree with your take on the Prem. Swansea should be aiming as high as possible. A win today would have put you on 40pts. 2 pts behind Everton.

Russ 17-02-2013 18:45

Re: Football Season 2012/2013

Swansea won't get higher than mid-table now. On current form I can't see us anywhere near the relegation zone. So why risk injuries to key players in games that won't really change our season? Trust me on this, next week's final means more to Swansea than dropping 3 points to opposition that we've beaten bigger sides than.

I like that Wenger ripped into that Sun report. Utter rubbish published to wind up Arsenal fans at a time they'll be more prone to being wound up. Actively trying to create discord and bitterness without any truth in the story. Wenger needs to start following Ferguson example and ban people if they publish that kind of stuff instead of being polite and allowing them free reign to use him to get cheap circulation figures.

Its the same with De Gea. Some people will never understand that keepers at that age will make mistakes, but in a few years they will become a lot more consistent and you will have them for 10-15 years instead of buying a new one every 4 or 5 years. I think both Szczesny and De Gea will be excellent keepers in the future and both sides would be foolish to let them go.

First of all it it an utter rip-off. The price difference between British football and Germany is absurd and Arsenal are one of the worst for it.

However this is another case of utterly misleading figures. Yes you can get a single ticket for £94.50 for tonight but that's one of the more expensive tickets. Additionally that season ticket for Munich? That's for standing space or the physically disabled for which there are special rates at Munich. The cheapest 'normal' season ticket for Munich, which will be a seat not as good as that which the £94 single ticket at Arsenal will get you, is £256. Still dramatically cheaper but not as dramatic as that statistic shows. Additionally it's not clear if those tickets include Champions League games.

Yes in front of the Arsenal goal which has been defended by Sunday league players who have not got a clue of how to defend.

Yeah there is a reason they're on ITV rather than actually managing clubs.

One is a cohesive unit full of leaders the other has as much leadership as a bunch of kindergarden children.

Arsenal need to start beating players, by running at them, not passing. A bit of nifty footwork and some pace would not go amiss

Not seeing Bayern as that good

If Wenger was Kroos before, he has a Neuer reason to be now. Bayern are Robben Arsenal of possession and a-Lahm bells should be ringing.

effective or efficient? no matter, as either is probably true

But not unusual for a team to look efficient against othe teams they rregularly play, but in europe it proves a different task

Didn't expect to beat Munich anyway. I am not sure what else to say. Our second performance was better but they're too good. None of the goals from either side really should have been scored though, bad defending on all of them.
