This is more a potentially happy thought than a happy thought, but I've got a feeling I've just found an old friend I lost touch with a few years back on facebook.

There isn't much info on his profile, and the photo may or may not be him (it isn't that clear) but I recognise a few of the names on his friends list.

I love Watchet we used to stay at a small hotel there when our son was a youngster and spent many happy hours around Watchet Harbour supposedly fishing but just catching baby crabs. :)

Crazy world: I could have bought it in the UK for £20 delivered. I actually had it sent by airmail from Singapore for £6.50 all in. As far as I can see it's exactly the same foil (or a very good copy) and the only difference is that the UK one comes ready installed in a new plastic head whereas I have to swap the other one over, a 5 minute job.

Probably direct from the factory instead of via a distribution chain

That's great dilli, I wish I was in a pool at the moment it's sooo dang hot. Even the cat is panting, though if the daft animal stopped lying in wait to catch wasps in the sunniest part of the patio it might help.

My happy thought to-day is that we are just about to go and meet friends at a local canal side restaurant and I can already imagine the condensation on the side of the large glass of chilled white wine that has my name on it when we get there.

Had my very first "Hello Mr, I am calling from Microsoft because there is a virus on your computer and I can show you how to get rid of it thank you please" phone call yesterday! I was chuffed, been waiting for one of those for years.

Had plenty of fun wasting his time, tying him up in knots, frustrating him. I almost felt sad when he hung up on me after I told him I worked for the British Government and was tracing the call :D

OOOOOh I must remember your parting shot, that sounds like a fun way to wind up my next wind up. :tu:

My latest caller had to repeat every single thing he said over, and over again due to my 'very bad line'. I kept apologising and asking him to bear with me. I kept him going for nearly half an hour before I got bored. :)

Thanks for the hug Tinky. Thankfully a few of bags of the red stuff seem to have worked this time. :)

Unfortunately the underlying condition (AIHA) is there for life so it's just a matter of trying to ensure that the side effects of the treatments aren't more damaging that the damage caused by the sneaky ways my Immune System finds to attack me. Hence my fear when it seems that I may have to have massive doses of Steroids to dampen down my Immune System when it decides wake up and go on the rampage.

Hence my fear when it seems that I may have to have massive doses of Steroids to dampen down my Immune System when it decides wake up and go on the rampage.

What some people have to live with Jo, makes my pitiful worries pale into insignificance. I don't need reminding to count my blessings every day. :)

Dilli can't say I've heard of your holiday site, but it looks great. I will keep an eye open for you, when do you come down?

Jo, what can I say? How wonderful for you!!! Will you continue to have transfusions, or is that the end of the treatment? Hopefully it's the latter. :hugs:

August 19th. Do you live nearby?

A fair way away Dilli near the Eden Project, I think that is one of the pictures shown on you Camp's internet site. You and Natalie will have marvelous time I'm sure, plenty places to explore and never far from the seaside.:)

Wanted to own a 1958 Chevrolet Impala ever since I can recall.
Had a call from my nephew last night & has seen one in upstate New York.
That`s the happy side.It seems to be in reasonable nick etc.
The other side of the coin is I would want it in New Orleans !
No way would I drive it down ( even if I had the time) To pay someone would be a lot more than the cars worth.
So my happy thought is that they are still out there :) & I just keep on dreaming. ( would probably be disappointed if I ever got in one:dozey:) :D

I've just had a text from my eldest to say that he's been contacted by a producer who apparently wants him to contribute to a documentary he's making about the lives of young carers. He's over the moon of course and we're very proud of him as he's been very active within our local carers charity. I'd give him a big hug but he's enjoying a much needed and well deserved holiday with his mum in E. Europe so it'll have to wait until next week. :)

That is brilliant Osem and a testament to how well he has been brought up. It's not easy being a caring and supportive big brother when you see that so much attention has to be given to a younger sibling. So well done Osem jnr and well done the rest of you as well. Give him a hug from me as well when he comes home.

Try a trip to Madeira if close enough and try the local tipple.

We're not allowed to tell you. I think the court order that forbids you from being within one mile of him still applies overseas.

Is it the Stalkers international convention you're attending in the Algarve?
