Different league granted, and I ain't trying to big him up to be some sort of magical scoring machine mate, honest! He's done enough to make people notice. I think Liverpool wanted him last summer. Him and Suarez would have been interesting to say the least. To me he's a play-acting, nasty, grappling, sneaky and sometimes naughty front man. Ticks all the right boxes :D

Good striker, but as you say, dirty as well. Suarez has a rival :)

Costa is a big signing for Chelsea. Its also good to see Chelsea move early so Arsenal can have a certain other striker ;)

Although his style will probably work with Chelsea/Mourinho

He is quite in your face like the great Didier Drogba but whether he is Drogba's class remains to be seen.

He's not and never will be, two different players. Look no further than Lukaku for the next Drogba. If he isn't playing for Chelsea next season then he needs to find his way out of Stamford Bridge because the guy is destined to be a monster in front of goal.

Lukaku at 20 years old has scored more goals in the Premier League than Alan Shearer did at that age.

Alan Shearer 118 games for Southampton and a mere 22 goals (Yes we all know he went on to wreck the league)
Lukaku for Everton and WBA 66 games and 32 goals.. 20 years old.

I want to see this kid get a proper season at Chelsea but you just don't know with Mourinho.

Daniel Levy has not a clue what he is doing as first of all he wants the latest fashionable foreign model and then after that he wants the all English model but alas that did not last.

The question is, was sherwood best to do the job.

Personally, i am not convinced. That said, not my decision :)

But whether he was the best or not for the job you can't keep replacing your managers willy nilly at the whim of a owner who clearly does not know what he is doing.

Sherwood has a 59% win percentage, the best by any Spurs manager in the Premiership years.;)

Shame. Was looking forward to him and Ferdinand leaving this summer. Oh well, another year to abuse him.
