TalkTalk's multiroom TV is now in live testing once available to the general public (possibly before the end of April) it is expected to cost £4 a month

Good for them - wouldn't touch talk talk with a barge pole after previous broadband and to experiences

Bad news for horse racing fans. In future, you may have to pay to watch. Thanks, Sky.

They are ruining TV sports for the ordinary man on the street, so to speak, lots of people cannot afford Sky and rely on companies like ITV etc to screen some sports events without the need for a subscription, soon we will no longer be able to view anything without forking out, an absolute disgrace imo!

They don't care two hoots about the ordinary man in the street and have not done for a long while.

it is a disgrace but what is an even bigger disgrace was OFCOM interfering and forcing premier league rights to be split and inviting the whole setanta, ESPN and BT sport gang into the sports right bidding world.

If sky had just kept everything we'd still be paying but probably 15 or 20 quid less a month! And they said it would be good for competition by splitting rights ...good for the millionaires not good for the rest of us!

Yeah so many sports cashing out with little or no regard to their dedicated audiences. Big bucks seem more important to those selling sports rights than viewing figures and future interest in the sport. As more sports fall behind expensive pay walls they will through time dwindle away and become niche interests. Would be refreshing to see a sport turn down the money from either SKY or BT but I can't see it happening.

Quite agree - being saying that for years, competition only works if each televised game is available for all to companies to show, the viewer can then pick the cheapest or the one they prefer.

If sport wasn't on pay to then the amounts sportsmen earn would be vastly reduced - some might say that would be a good thing, after all paying a footballer (who can only kick with one foot) hundreds of thousands a week is just obscene.

Additionally, the cost of attending sports fixtures is astronomical - some of the to money should be used to reduce them to a reasonable level (say £20 pp for premiership football) rather than lining players pockets.

I know that Twitter is going mad over this. I feel that Sky presenters are being gagged aver this as some are NOT happy at this.

Many feel that Kay Burley should be fired due to her aggressive attitude to some government minsters and other people that she interviewed.

I have actually emailed Sky over this.

The good thing that may come out of this, is that she will join BT Sport. I think they will jump at the chance to sign her up with all that Sports experience
