What i mean is that this is speculation surely, i didn't see Wegner do anything other than not shake hands at the end and ALAN going towards the Aresnal dug out acting like a 5 year old.

You couldn't see what Wegner was doing so how do you know he was berating Pardew?

As far as i can see from that clip the only thing you could say Wegner did wrong was push Alan away then refuse to shake his hand at the end, which based on the way Alan was acting seems reasonable to me.

I think you are right however given the importance of the match to us perhaps Wenger could have risen above it, as it probably wasn't meant personally, after all their action's are seen by millions of children

...but it is just speculation that Wenger didn't do anything as well, for the same reason, he wasn't in shot to see what he was doing.

The first thing that you can see was Pardew going "What?" in the direction of Wenger. Also, that clip on youtube didn't show all of it. The bit just where it cuts to an angle from behind the goal, Wenger actually goes to West Ham's technical area and tries again to have a go again...

Wengers Official Statement.........

"I was disgusted at the treatment we received at West Ham. Our players are used to playing in a quiet, respectful atmosphere in which we can discuss tactics, compare our nice gloves, and scream loudly to let the referee know we've been tackled and need a free kick.

The atmosphere at Upton Park was little short of hostile. The opposing fans sang, shouted and cheered in a manner we are not used to. Almost all of them stayed for the whole game, too. This was strange to us; it doesn't happen back at the Al Qaeda Stadium.

In addition, our bag man left the team's glove bag back at Gonforaburton Grove, meaning that many of our players were playing with cold hands, and some of them cried.

My dispute with Alan Pardew was over his comments following their goal. "Did you see that?" he shouted. This was insulting. He must know that I see NOTHING on the pitch, unless it is a poor decision against Arsenal. And I am NOT a 'Cheese Eating Surrender Monkey', whoever said that..."

I haven't seen anything else other than that Youtube clip and can comment only on what i saw in that.

Slightly OT, but Gordon Strachan did almost exactly the same thing up here after beating Hearts, nobody really batted an eyelid up here, its just part of the game IMO.

Yes, it doesn't show that he did anything, but then it didn't show that he did nothing either.

If you saw it on tv, you saw Wenger push Pardew away, telling him to F... off and then trying to start it again after Pardew had gone back to his area.

Pardew was in his own area when he was celebrating. Hence him spitting his dummy out ;)

Apparently PArdew shouted out "Made in England" as part of his celebrations when Harwood scored. He was supposedly having a dig at Wenger's recent comments about the fact that there are not good enough english players to make his starting eleven, well thats what I just heard on the radio.

Wenger is just a little boy who cant take a beating.....

Well as an Arsenal fan (yes we are still here).

Before you all jump in making comments from the u tube video posted I suggest you watch the full footage before wading in.

Nevertheless after watching it live and watching it again I am ashamed, Wenger was a disgrace and should be brought up over this incident.

Pardew probably one of the most under pressure managers in the premiership who would have taken a point before the kick off was quite rightly elated and celebrated in his dug out area the scoring of the goal.

Credit where credit is due it was well worked goal through a sloppy back four of ours and the penalty clain aside we did not deserve to win that game nor the previous game for that matter.

If you cannot put the chances away they you can play like the best 11 in the world but it is all fruitless unless you put the ball in the back of the net.

Coming from Wenger a man who always insists on the handshake his actions were childish and his language and push and shove tactics were shameful - provoked or not a man in his position should know better.

Once again a lack lustre performance by the team and an appauling decision by the ref will fail into insiginifcance as this game will be remembered for Wengers actions both at the time of the incident and post match as well.

Big :tu: to Alan Pardew for apologising even though he had nothing to apologise for.

Big :td: to Arsene for not being man enough to admit he was wrong.

It pains me to say it but for once Jose Mourinho had the right idea after the Spurs game, man enough to face the press and made some worthy comments about the refs having to front up afterwards as well.

Whilst Wenger is a great manager on this occasion he was nothing more than a disgrace to the club and to hsi country and the saddening part is it will portray the game in a bad light to all the lip reading youngsters watching.
