ITV dropped it , I've not heard anything since.

Season 1&2 are on Amazon Prime so it may appear there.

Yes I had heard ITV were thinking of ditching it but hoped either for a change of mind or for another channel to take it on

Sadly ITV Will Not be Showing Season 3 of The Americans because of Poor Ratings on Season 2.

I think the time it was shown on Saturdays has hurt it greatly as it is a great drama, pity they could not have put it on a weeknight around a 9pm slot

The trouble is BBC and the ITV are bloody too obsessed with ratings all the time and because of that some great series have suddenly been trashed in the bin by them.:rolleyes:

They seem to be following the USA ethos of not really giving programmes a chance even if it means just swapping them to another day/time

It amazed me that ITV bought the Americans in the first place and not surprised it failed on ITV; it is just not their type of show. It belongs on a different channel... BBC2 maybe... if the BBC hadn't had their budget cut... maybe that would have been a possibility?

Given the direction Netflix and Amazon are going, show wise, they would be a good fit. Also Fox; surprised they didn't pick it up in the first place as it is an FX show.

I`m wondering if they`ve dropped season 3 cause of where the storyline is going with Philip and the grooming of the young girl. I`ve been thinking that they are cutting this close to the bone.

I think it would be good though to show instances of this to educate people better in a quality drama.

With all the tensions between Ukraine and Russia now and threats of another cold war, it does still surprise me that there are as yet no UK TV offers to screen the 3rd season with all this news in the media and it's free advertising.

FOX UK Have Picked Up Season 5 of American Horror Story: Hotel Starring Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Cheyanne Jackson and Chloe Seviny who was Last Seen in American Horror Story: Asylum. Also FOX UK Have Also Picked up Second Run Rights to Bordertown created by Seth Macfarlin ITV2 has got 1st Run Rights to Bordertown and Family Guy also Second Run Rights to American Dad and The Clevland Show Reruns.

Final season of Justified (all episodes) coming to Sky box sets on 15th April. I assume that includes Now TV as all other seasons are available there.

Having watched both series of The Americans on Amazon I am amazed that no one is showing it. It is an excellent series.
