It was a penalty. Should've had 2 more in the game as well.

Den he should have been given 1 in the 1st half or 2 even and a mexican sent off for hacking his legs away.

And from watchimg the costa rica game I really arent worried about them

And Mexico should have had a penalty and possible red or at least yellow for kicking a player in the head in the box.:p:

Haven't watched much of it but there's been some great exciting football. I do wish players would cut out all the disgraceful diving and blatant histrionics though. It's ironic that, whilst the powers that be are worried about match fixing, so much cheating evident on the football field gets overlooked and goes unpunished.

Unlike 'Jaws' Suarez, Robben has at least admitted diving (albeit not for the last minute penalty) but I'd have a great deal more respect for him if he'd stayed on his feet, just as he did later on in the match. It's a great pity that players with amazing skill feel they need to resort to cheating.

Vlaar couldnt help it that his legs can go higher than the mexican can reach. ... and saying that his head looked like a ball

Robben has admitted to diving. In this case, he should be banned from the rest of the tournament - its cheating.

The problem is with this great gamne of football. Officials, seem to ignore this.

He only admitted to diving in the first half, not for the penalty

Difference in attitude :

Soccer - players roll around on the floor trying to convince the ref that they are hurt
Rugby - players, with blood streaming down face, trying to convince the ref that they aren't badly hurt and playing with a broken arm is par for the course.

It's not like you to overreact like this Arthur...

If the ref thought he had dived he would've got a yellow card, why should he be banned now because he admitted it. We can't have different rules for different players ;)
