This doesn't sound like good news

Is that the reason Tivo never really had the Red button service ?:monkey:

Must put better Free view service on box ( tidy up cables etc).

The BBC should have to survive in the real commercial world because as we know that all of us have to pay the licence fee but yet we are getting less and less for it.

Hope VM didn't invest too much in developing red button for Tivo then. Money down the drain?

The thing is den i think the BBC licence fee is extremly good value at £145.50 a year for a variety of content channels, and all its radio stations,i cannot agree it should survive in the commercial world as it would be charging similar prices to skys mate.!

Local BBC radio is having to cut its broadcasting of county cricket matches next year because of the licence fee freeze asnd having to cut back, just like Mr Murdoch wanted.

But i digress rant over.

l do understand your point of view Richard but if the BBC keep cutting back one suspects we will get a third rate service and in some areas that is already happening.

Nope, TiVo Red Button can access internet video streams, the reduction is in the linear channel ones i.e. the ones on the V boxes

So if anything TiVo red button will become much better than all the others due to the extra content it can access

To be specific it needs to be here by Monday 25th June @ 12pm as it's the first day of Wimbledon and Virgin have said multiscreen options on TIVO would be available for that!
