I think the point is being missed on the basis of choice. The boxers choose to get into a ring, the fox is not afforded that luxury.

Are they afforded a choice, or is it the only way they can earn money?

Do you mean to suggest they are brain damaged before pursuing a career in boxing?

They are not forced in to the ring by a pack of baying hounds and ponces on horseback, are they.

You obviously have never lived in Govan.......

(no horses, though...)

If you remember, I am against fox-hunting, but also against hypocrisy - how people can care more about vermin, but think it is ok for people to try to beat each other to death, causes me some confusion....

Whichever way you look at it ,we ,the human race ,are supposed to be civilized and as such we should be able to find entertainment without ripping other animals apart or bashing each others brains to a pulp

They're humans v humans. the other is humans v animals v animals.
the first one has a choice. the second is by choice of the human. the animals have to participate in the sport.

What was the point of the statement then? Because it seemed to me that it was focusing specifically on what you appear to see as people's overreaction to the protection of what you consider to be vermin.
