Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen) and 2 months of Amazon Prime Music Unlimited for £20.97 - offer came up on my email, get the Dot for £4.99 rather than £49.99.

I’ll cancel the Music Unlimited in 2 months.

We’ve used them in the past. They’re so pigging small, if they accidentally come adrift they get dropped and lost very easily.

An Amazon Echo Show 8, for when my mum comes home?

It was £70, but I used the rest of my Christmas bonus, so paid £20.

Not bad when the original cost was £120

I'd like a new tablet to replace my S2 but new models that are better are much more expensive than the £300 I paid a few years ago for this one.

Replacement float valve for my sisters upstairs toilet through Amazon. The old one the float has corroded through and is not stopping the filling of the cistern properly. Given its age I thought an all new assembly was best.

Ordered this one from VM yesterday, all was going well until I get a message this morning from Yodel telling me "Your parcel has been returned to your sender. Please contact them with any queries". I finally manage to get in contact with VM and they tell me that there was an issue with the order and that the VM security team will contact me in the next 24 to 48 hours. Well, I wasn't too happy about that, because the tablet was almost at my door.

I asked CS what this could be? He said there was some kind of discrepancy between my V/Media account and the V/Mobile account details. So I might not be getting this from VM after all.

The case and screen protector I ordered from Amazon will be here tonight, and I was going to get my PAC code from Three so I could keep my existing number. Oh well, everything was going so smoothly.

Any forum members had similar issues? It would be helpful to hear from you.

$2 a month Patreon subscription to one of my favourite authors, John Birmingham (Axis of Time trilogy, Without Warning trilogy, Girl Out Of Time books) - for this I get
Quote:

for two bucks a month, you're in. As I write each chapter you get it here. As each volume is published, you get the ebook. But you'll also get lots of cool things that don't make it into the final, published copies. Short fiction. Character studies.
At the moment, I am read the draft chapters of an Audible audiobook of his (Zero Day Code) - it’s not available in print as Audible have an exclusive on it for a couple of years, but his drafts are available to subscribers.

16x 200mg Ibuprofen capsules and some 5% ibuprofen gel. My foot and ankle have become very painful and swollen.

The consensus, don't laugh, is gout. I don't even like port or thrashing servants. :D

I've had it before and it usually clears up after a few days but getting out of bed in the middle of the night is pure agony.

There are a couple of prescription medicines but they take many days or even weeks to work so not really an option in the short term.

You have my sympathies heero. <hugs> My long stint on high dose Steroids left me with heart and kidney problems. The damage to my kidney functions resulted in very high Uric Acid levels. Gout! Never have any symptoms just have to take the Allorprinol for life. Just wish Drs reading my medication list would also read my health records. It gets tiresome when they assume my favorite drink is Port. :D

I had the Nespresso once, never again. Price per cup just isn't worth it. Better to get a bean to cup machine (such as the esam4200 - can be as low as £199) and then buy the beans. Soon recover the costs and the choice of coffee is much bigger, not only that the coffee is so much better.

When my sister first said she was pregnant my mum was forever picking up stuff, baby grows were essential as baby poo can end up in the hair.

The funny thing was my sister didn't want to know what they were having.

We always said when "He" this and "He" that, but a few weeks before the baby arrived my mum suddenly started to say "She".

Which made us think.

Then my Niece arrived.

I bought 2 booster seats with back support and 2 boosters without for my sister & brother-in-law., 1 set for them 1 set for us to pick them up whenever required.

I still remember picking my niece up from school, all the kids had to wait, but my niece didn't she pushed past the teacher and came running to me shouting UNCLE, then jumped and hugged me.

The teacher laughed and said she obviously knows you, but I still told her the password.

Change of plan. I found the one I wanted in Litecraft , It was a bit more expensive ,but he reduced it for me and I am happy with it. I can take the first one back to B & Q.

Got one of them in April. Got it mostly because I wanted to play PC games through it, and partly because I live with my Niece and Nephew, and I thought it would be a good thing to help them learn. That said, my Nephew isn't remotely interested by it, and my Niece only really plays Beatsaber.

I could suggest several apps, but I think that is getting a little off topic.

Regarding my own expenditure, I had planned for this month to be expensive, as I want an Xbox Series X, and a iPhone 12 Max, both of which launch this week. Had an unexpected expense this week though. Last week, I was mucking around with my Nephew. He got over excited and leapt on to the Sofa. Right on top of my headphones. Which snapped. Annoying, but while I've told him repeatedly not to jump on the sofas, I am partly responsible because I was winding him up, and I shouldn't have put the headphones on the sofa.

I was lucky enough that our offer to buy the pram and the baby monitor was accepted.

All I'm saying is baby monitors have came a long way since my day, this is the one that they got https://www.johnlewis.com/bt-video-s...nitor/p4119395 really should have waited as it has came down in price by £30.00

De Buyer 28cm high carbon steel frying pan. Price is a bit higher at the mo' maybe should have gone for the 32cm as price hasn't moved but where to put it?
Note the diameter is at the rim, at base it's only 20cm but been wanting a good pan for some time with better sides than cast iron.

Echo dot 3rd Gen (reduced from £39.99 to £18.99) and a battery base for the Echo dot (reduced from £39.99 to £25.99).

I was going to wait till Black Friday, but they were reduced today, so bought them.

I’ll be on the lookout tomorrow for a 1TB NVMe internal SSD and a 34" 21:9 monitor in the Black Friday deals (I’ve got 2 x 24" monitors at the moment, but they’re both about 7 or 8 years old).

I’m looking at these for the 1TB drive, and will research this evening for the monitor.

Quite fancy this for the monitor, but more research underway - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/gigab...mo-00b-gi.html

Not cigarettes. Asda hiked the price of the missus' favourite cheapo brand by £1.05 (over 12%).
