I have a POA card for my dad bank that I use for food shopping, unfortunately I have the same bank card, I thought I had his card and it didn't like the number, (it was my card). I swapped card and typed my number and it rejected it. I end up locking the card when I realised my mistake.

Luckily I did get the food

Consultants that just do not want to listen to their patients. I've waited over 2 years to see a Gastro after having my most of my bowel removed as my last Gastro retired hence the long wait. Long story short... it didn't go down well to put it mildly.

Is there someone you can complain to peanut as Consultants should be listening to what their patients say.

My brother saw a consultant a couple of weeks ago and when he came out he said the consultant was deeply patronising and insulting about his weight.

My brother used to bodybuild so has a lot of muscle which weights far more.

That's shocking but so believable today. I've tried PALS in the past but you get nowhere. Their word against yours. They make it too hard to complain so people don't bother.

I walked out mid consultation after I told him what's the point of me being there if he's not going to listen a single word. After 2 years I have a lot of questions which he wasn't interested in listening to any of them. I told the receptionist on the way to make sure I'm covered. Strangely the receptionist didn't look too surprised either.

I should get a call today to rate the quality of care etc and I'll add a comment to that. But I will ask for someone else in future.

Mmm that really true?

Hope he and Peanut get treated better by their consultants next time though, you shouldn't come out of a meeting like that feeling worse, that's the very least you should expect

Yes as muscle weighs more then fat as the reason he had to give it in was became he has got a umbilical hernia and finally after 2 years of people fobbing him off has been put on the operating waiting list.

Muscle does not weigh more than fat 1lb of muscle weighs the same as 1lb of fat. Muscle is more dense than fat though so 1lb of muscle takes up less space than 1lb of fat

Well I've just read the consultants report letter...

Reads nothing like what was said in the short consultation. He states it was 'a pleasure to meet me' -wtf... And the rest is just full of made up rubbish and the parts I did manage to say he's got wrong also.

So annoyed right now. I'll be writing them a letter to give my side and the correct information and ask to see someone else.

Bloody irritated this morning as l had a half hour telephone pre-op appointment this morning and now they tell me l have to come in Monday as well for blood tests and swabs before the procedure three days later.

Surely it would have been far better if they had done that in the first place.

And yet more expense into the bargain as well.

Hope it all goes well Den. Worth it in the end hopefully.

Dentist and their prices - how do they possibly justify them?

Apart from the near impossiblity of NHS treatment, private prices are insane. Having a hip replacement or heart bypass isn't that different in cost. Come the revolution they will be first to be nationalised !

We are lucky that we have had the same lovely dentist duo for 20 years as they both came here from abroad as friends.

That is bloody immigrants for you.;)

I bought a bedspread from Ebay, I didnt like it so tried to return it. I was given a printable postage label to send it back. A friend took it down to the local Post Office but returned saying it could not be accepted because it was over 2kg. I spent over an hour to Ebay they told me their returns labels only covered items up to 2kg and that I would have to get my own courier, or get the Post Office to pick it up. Money back does not apply until the goods are received back. Needless to say yet another item going to charity.:(:banghead:

The seller has now made a generous offer to give full refund plus 50% of return postage, seems fair.
